This was an exceptionally good hotel, in every reward. Particularly the help we got from the reception desk and every aspect of internal processes was top notch. Also the fact that the checkout was at 12pm. Pretty much everything was well thought out and we appreciated that.

What a little gem this is, a beautiful room that is classy and really huge, beautiful view of the Kamo river, you are close to a lot of interesting places. Love to take a night stroll around the area. I have been in Kyoto 3 times, and this is the best hotel by far. Staffs speak good english and really friendly

The room is large and very comfortable, the bathroom is also large and like most hotels in Japan they provide amenities. the location is excellent, close to several traditional restaurants and two blocks from the metro, there is a seven eleven in front and it is very close to the center where they sell traditional items. The hotel staff are very polite and the rooms are very clean. The hotel is excellent for those who want to stay away from the noise and want a more reserved stay.

    Large room size and comfortable. View of river and onsen facilities was lovely. Washing machine downstairs and ice and water on the floor were handy too. Location was awesome… out of the mainstream, close to an underground walkway to Sanjo station and to Pontocho Ally, Gion, shops, streams and places to eat.

    Definitely check out the restaurants/izakayas in the Kami river vincinity, especially between shijo and sanjo for a river-view tatami. That's the way Japanese have done it since ancient times. A sip of sake and enjoy the beautiful views of the riverbanks. Ah, watch out for bugs though.
