Breakfast is excellent, a buffet of Japanese, Chinese, and non-Asian fare like sausages, bacon, pancakes etc. No egg station, which is my preference, but they have scrambled and soft-boiled eggs ready. There's a kids' buffet too with octopus-shaped weiners and others. :) Room is surprisingly big for Japan. Bathroom is the typical floor shower with personal onsen/bathtub beside it. Lots of electrical outlets all over the room. WiFi is blazingly fast and stable. There's a convenient ferry, The Captain Line, that cuts across the port to the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, and to the rest of Osaka from there via public transport. Alternatively, there's the nearby train station which is roughly a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. There are convenience stores in Universal City. Of course, Universal Studios Japan is readily accessible. The entrance is 5 minute or less walk away. You'll have to cross a major street to get there.

Staff are very helpful and accommodating. Only 3mins walk to Universal Studios. Drugstore, Convenience store and restaurants are also available nearby. The bedroom for 4 people were perfect!!!

Too many lines, even with the express tickets, you somehow will still stand on lines, extremely disappointed, I am of the opinion that I wasted money on those express tickets. This is more like a waiting theme park. Very bad, extremely crowded, they don’t limit tickets that could be purchased per day

Mario land is must try in Universal Japan.

Mario land is must try in Universal Japan. Harry Potter is also amazing. Do attend night shows. Take normal plus express entry to enjoy most of attractions and best utilize time. Else queues are really long. Waiting time can be 2 hrs as well Mario area. Download universal app before going and do booking of few rides (top 10 -15 rides)as soon as you reach.

We visited the park on a Thusday in August.

We visited the park on a Thusday in August. It was hot and crowded, but less than other European parks we visited before. We managed to go to all main attractions once and to Harry Potter twice (this is the best, not only the ride itself, but also the surroundings). We appreciated that the waiting lines were in the shadow or indoor with ventilators. Some of them had public water dispensers.

Stay in the hotel at universal studios it really helps and was so awesome and fun. It’s in the center of everything and very convenient. Need at least 2-3 days to explore universal and all the stores without having to rush too much.

That is the second time I go to Osaka and the last time when...

That is the second time I go to Osaka and the last time when I visit the universal studios that is a really bad experience.never know can’t buy the fast pass when I walk in and every game have to queue for 3 hr in a 35。c, only to made 3 games in whole day.this time although have a new things but not interest again

We went last month {October} and it was insanely busy.

We went last month {October} and it was insanely busy. I mean insane. You could barely walk around the park, let alone get on a ride. The big rides all had 2hr + wait times. We got on three rides all day {Jaws - over an hour wait, Hello Kitty tea cups - 40min wait and 95mins at the end of the day for Flight of the Dinosaur}. We couldn’t get access to Super Nintendo World - tried all day, but no joy. Couldn’t even get a butter beer…line was nearly 1hr {and that was standard for most food stalls}. We ended up exiting the park to get lunch coz we were so deflated. Not a great experience and wouldn’t go again. If you can afford the express passes {wasn’t an option for our family}, then you may have a better time, but even walking through the park with the crowds was not enjoyable. Do not recommend.

The rooms and the hotel in general are very comfortable and chic, making for a relaxed and mellow oasis away from the hustle and bustle of a busy day in Osaka or at Universal Studios Japan. The record player in the room is a fun quirk that gives the place character.

Our family of 4 enjoyed this accommodation for its close location for Universal Studios Japan & the Osaka Aquarium. It does require a short walk from the train station but once you arrive at The Rise the room was very nice, with a lovely view out over the Harbor and the rooftop Onsen was excellent.
