With its great location on the banks of Douro and its unobstructed view of the Luis I bridge, we found that the Rebello offers an excellent accommodation experience: fabulous breakfasts, rooftop restaurant with splendid views, very comfortable, beautifully furnished and spacious rooms, pet friendly policy and, above all, fantastic staff - alert and always ready to help. Great location, efficient and friendly welcome, super clean room, great shower, could have done with a desk but there was a table which sufficed, great restaurants nearby. try Holy Sandwich Shop (for burgers, wings and cocktails), or Mistu for super elegant small plate dining - exceptional! And both 43 mins walk away.

    Apart from the garden around the fountain at the entrance,...

    Apart from the garden around the fountain at the entrance, the gardens were not maintained as well as they could have been, with more effort being spent on constructing wooden sales shacks than tending the gardens. This left many parts of the garden shabby and some of the paths made it almost impossible for anyone with mobility issues to see it all.

    We visited on 03 September.

    We visited on 03 September. There was a feira in the grounds, notably bookstalls. Suddenly told by security that the Gardens were closed and we had to leave (even tho showing as open on Google). Disappointed.

    Very nice park with a domed concert venue in the middle.

    Very nice park with a domed concert venue in the middle. Ignore the building and focus on the well manicured gardens with lots of different plants and themes. There are many places to sit and enjoy. The garden has some of the best views of the Douro in Porto. Don't miss the peacocks. You'll also find some other animals wondering around the grounds.
