Lots of choice and variety at breakfast. Helpful and courteous staff. Pool was nice for cooling down after a day in the city. They were willing to store our luggage when we arrived earlier than check-in so that we could go about our day.

Beautiful new, very clean hotel. Room was spacious, with a sofa and large bathroom with separate shower and separate toilet. The breakfast was outstanding! A really varied and high quality selection, we looked forward to it every day. The pool was excellent, a welcome relief in the hot afternoons. Location was superb, within walking distance or a short taxi ride from the main streets and sights.

Wat Pho

Home to the famous giant reclining Buddha, Wat Pho is one of the largest and most beautiful temples in Bangkok. You can spend a relaxing few hours wandering the grounds, sitting in the shade and snapping photographs. It’s also highly recommended to enjoy a medical massage at the school – it might hurt a bit, but afterwards you’ll be walking on air.

Take a water taxi from Saphan Taksin station up to Wat Pho.

Take a water taxi from Saphan Taksin station up to Wat Pho. It is well worth the visit. Go earlier it can get very crowded. Beware if you get a massage at the school there, it can be a very long wait, and it will be double the cost. Instead do the trip then go to Phrom Phong BTS station and go to Phunee massage, 350Bht for an hour long foot massage. Wonderful. Ive been going there for 10 years.

Wat Pho captivates with its distinctive Buddha idol, a striking departure from the typical figures found in most Buddhist temples. While the entry fee leans slightly towards the higher end, it remains reasonable and well worth the experience. The temple and its surroundings exude a quaint, tranquil charm, offering a serene and impeccably maintained retreat. Its prime location further enhances its appeal, with a host of nearby attractions just waiting to be explored.

Get an English speaking guide for sure so you can learn about the monuments and the buddhas. Without the guide, we would have learned nothing since there are no English translations in the descriptions.

Get there early - depending where you are staying - catch river boat from central pier to wat Po. Visit the massage school and have an oil massage - great experience and I’ve had limited pain with an old injury since - well worth the visit.

Awe inspiring. If you only visit one temple in Bangkok, make it this one. The boat doesn't seem to stop there at the moment, so you need to go by road. Try visiting later in the day - the light is beautiful then.

The cleanliness, staff, and breakfast were excellent in my opinion. We were able to walk to all the main attractions in the center of Bangkok (Wat Pho, Wat Arun, Grand Palace, etc.). There was a very sweet and friendly receptionist lady who was extremely attentive. I sincerely thank them 🙏.
