Super clean and beautifull rooms with a nice view of the garden. The view from the outdoor swimming pool is amazing but unfortunetely it was too cold to swim outside. They do have an indoor heated swimming pool as well so that is very nice. The african aromatic massage was really relaxing and good. The breakfast was very good as well as lunch and dinner.

The location of the property is perfect. It is situated at a place with gives you a picturesque view of the town of Knysna and it's surrounding areas. Easy accessibility. We were greeted very warmly by the courteous staff. The place is amazing. The service is excellent. The breakfast has a good spread and they have really good options (alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic) for drinks. The people running St. James of Knysna are particularly kindhearted and warm. I would definitely live there again if I visit Knysna again.

Wow, what a place. The interior design is fantastic, and it backs onto a beautiful lake, where you can enjoy excellent food and drinks and watch the sun set in peace. Truly a special place and we wished we could have stayed far longer than our one night! There are great little boutique shops around also, and two delicious breakfast options accessible if you pay for breakfast.

What an absolutely amazing experience! A modern, beautifully designed treehouse tucked right in the heart of the Knysna Forest—pure magic. No city sounds, just the peaceful rhythm of nature all around. Thank you, Charlotte and Jacques, for your warm hospitality and incredible attention to detail. Every little touch made us feel so welcome. We especially enjoyed the bottle of wine—it was the perfect treat. We’re already looking forward to our next stay. You’ll definitely be seeing us again!

I was doing the Knysna Forest Marathon the next morning and the hostess was so kind as to pack me a breakfast which I could take with, as the transport was picking us up at ± 5:00. Came in very handy and was much appreciated. Thank you, Theressa! Also gave me a superb reference to a nearby restaurant.

The host is very accommodating and friendly. We were spoilt with homemade soup and bread. It's like home away from home. You can park your car and walk everywhere. The location is superb. We were doing the Knysna Forest half marathon and the host made arrangements for an early morning Uber. The evening we had lovely braai facilities and could watch the Springboks rugby match on screen.
