This was a highlight of our 3 week journey around the South Island. We would highly recommend going out of your way to stay at Amuri for the quality of the service, the stunning views and the aura of serenity which you cannot help but be taken in by. The cheese platter and wine on arrival was excellent and the kitchen facilities were perfect. Don't even hesitate, book a night (or more!) here and it'll be a highlight for you too.

Had an excellent stay at 8 on Oregon. Jill and Dave were wonderful hosts. You could not better eating breakfast on the balcony enjoying the view and bird sounds. It was our last night in NZ and was a wonderful place to end our trip

Just 300 metres from the Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools, Kakapo Lodge boasts a guest lounge with a log fireplace and a large communal kitchen and dining area.

The room and the whole place was spotless clean! Very cosy around the fireplace while it rained outside. The staff was unbelievably kind. Would have stayed longer if we could have!

Greenacres Alpine Chalets & Villas is set in quiet, green surroundings with panoramic views over Hanmer Valley. Hanmer village is a short walk away.

This is a fantastic property, the best we’ve stayed in in New Zealand so far. iI is roomy and has the most spectacular views. Staff are friendly and helpful and let us check in early too. The property had everything we wanted. Just perfect.

Beautiful and comfortable room with a great view. Very nice couple, very helpfully. A place to enjoye, relax or also to work in nice atmosphaire. Iwas much longer there, than intendendet to stay before arriving. Thanks a lot😁
