Right beside the gate to the park, so come out and straight there (pre book your entry if self driving, or wait in line for 30 minutes to cross the bridge). We booked a room that had a bed missing so they moved us to a better one at no extra cost, which had great views of the river (heard hippos down there) and was perfect, so that was really nice of them (Leo sorted us out). We had our own BBQ and kitchen and the shower was strong and the beds very comfortable. Places like this in private reserves cost bundles, so this is a good way to experience a similar stay at a very reasonable price.

Buckler’s Africa Lodge is located on the banks of Crocodile River bordering the Kruger National Park. It is set in large landscaped gardens with stunning views over the park.

Our stay at Foxy Lodge was amazing. The close-up experience with the animals was unforgettable, and the level of hospitality from Basil and Riette was incredible. The lodge facilities are superb, and the food was absolutely delicious. Our room was extremely comfortable, and the terrace was the perfect spot to unwind after a safari—especially with visits from various animals. Truly a magical experience. You certainly get more value for your money than expected! There is a shared, fully-equiped kitchen with in and outdoor seating, making cooking and dining really easy for self-catering. The chalets are well appointed and had everything we needed.. even a hair dryer for my wife (big plus for her). Even though the property is shared by other guests, you are surrounded by bushveld, with different animals and birds visiting the property throughout the day. Bushbuck, kudu, mongoose and warthogs, even bushbabies while we had a braaied at night. The pool is lovely, although it was too cold for us to use at this time of year. There is an upstairs communal lounge with huge windows that make it feel like a treetop hide. We would definitely recommend Elephant Memories as a must stay for nature lovers. A real hidden gem! I haven't relaxed like this in ages.

The property is fantastic! Thank you for the great accommodation, feels like home. The lady who takes care is amazing. Very closed to crocodile bridge gate about 20 min and about 30-35 min away from Malalena gate. The room was very comfortable and area around the house was quite and see some animals was a plus to our trip. I’ll definitely recommend this place for everyone. Nice, clean, comfortable ☺️
