The property was very simple but it was everything we needed. The water pressure and temperature was good, the bed was comfortable, the food was good, the WiFi worked, the staff was friendly. The location was incredible. It really was a unique experience. The guided tours were really cool. We saw howler and spider monkeys, five different snakes, all sort of frogs, many birds. The guide was really knowledgeable and Pedro was super helpful. I would absolutely recommend staying here to someone.

It was the most expensive accommodation of our holiday but the nightly rate includes entry to La Paz Waterfall Gardens and the animal and butterfly sanctuary so we felt it was worth it. It is also only a short drive from San Jose airport which was very convenient. We did the evening animal feeding tour and night frog tour which were both amazing - the guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Our boys also caught sone trout in the lake. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and our family room was gorgeous with its balcony jacuzzi and lovely views. We had a delicious evening meal with great service in the main restaurant and had the buffet lunch the next day before departing for the airport, which was plentiful, delicious and surprisingly great value for money. All the staff were professional, welcoming, knowledgeable and we felt very spoiled throughout our stay.

The owners and staff couldn’t have been more helpful organizing tours. The cabins were rustic but charming and the landscape was breathtaking.

The grounds of the lodge are beautiful - there are many beautiful flowers and lots of different birds -- it is a birdwatcher's paradise. The cabins have nice decks with comfortable chairs as well as a large central viewing deck with hammocks and comfortable chairs. The staff was were welcoming and spoke excellent English. They went above and beyond any expectations when my friend became ill and had to go to the local clinic. The owner of the lodge drove us to the clinic and stayed with our friend the whole time, translating and ensuring he got his proper medications. We are so grateful.

Very cosy place, exceeded our expectations (after reading some sceptical reviews)! It is a very comfortable, tranquile, lots of nature around you, wonderful people, working at it. We also liked the tours and the restaurant (and very kindhearted ladies in it :) p.s. try to "use" the time before and after the tourists "from outside the gate" come (evening and morning, before 9-10 a.m.). It is not becoming too crowdy, but before this you have a feeling of being "nearly alone in a beautiful nature". After this you can enjoy a wonderful terrace, where we saw many nice birds and beautiful frogs.

Absolutely beautiful little cottage right near a pond with ducks. Host was very helpful and quiet to respond to our late arrival. They met us straight away and helped with bags. The room was large and comfortable- with wood fire and nice bathroom. Bed was very cosy and comfortable. So quiet and relaxing - truly gorgeous location
