We liked absolutely everything at the Danta Corcovado lodge, it was actually our best accommodation so far in Costa Rica. The service is great, the food is amazing at both breakfast and dinner, the room is something special , the territory of the lodge is quite large, has many trails around the lodge, the location is close to the beach. Breakfast had 5 or 6 different choices to choose from. The design is very modern, a lot of creativity. Large room. No need for AC, the room doesn't have windows but has mosqueto nets. There is a possibility to take tours from that place but we didn't so can't comment. We stayed here on the way back from the Corcovado overnight Serena tour. If I could rate it higher than 10 I would gladly do it! Next time we will plan to stay in this place for longer.

Affichant une décoration de style rustique et niché dans une forêt tropicale donnant sur l'océan Pacifique, le La Leona Eco Lodge est un établissement respectueux de l'environnement proposant un... It’s like leaving a moment out of this world in a complete paradise ! We had such a great time, location is incredible between the tropical jungle and the ocean, the tents are perfect and have everything we need and the view on the beach. The food was so good, the best we had in Costa Rica, the prices feel justified compared to the rest of the country. The staff is awesome, really nice and helped have the best experience there. The hotel offers night walks where we got to see turtles nesting, hikes in the Corcovado with a great guide who is willing to share his experience of nature and naturals, massages also. I can only recommend !!

Situé à Puerto Jiménez (Puntarenas), l’établissement Maze Lodge propose une connexion Wi-Fi gratuite et un parking privé gratuit. We had a wonderful time at Maze Lodge in the middle of the jungle! Sure the road is a little bumpy but nothing a 4x4 car (we had a Suzuki Jimny) can't handle...a little adventure ride for free :) We want to thank our hosts Frida and Alexander so much for hospitality and their support! We had a great time and a big experience! All the best for your Maze Lodge!

Situé à Carate et offrant une vue sur la montagne, l’établissement Finca la Bonita, Playa Carate possède un jardin, une terrasse et un restaurant. Location in the trees of the Costa Rican jungle, perfectly private, outdoor cold (but not too cold) shower under trees. Wildlife in abundance, from howler and spider monkeys in the trees above the cabin; to agoutis, leaf-cutter ants, various lizards and amphibians, crabs below it, plus stunning butterflies, toucans and scarlet macaws - one wonder after another. Christian is a kind, helpful, professional bilingual host, extremely knowledgeable about the flora and fauna, first-class tour guide and able to fix anything. Meals all prepared from fresh ingredients. My favorites were the breakfast fruits and dinners with avocados and freshly-caught fish. All staff was friendly and accommodating. It was the most peaceful, rejuvenating week I've ever had.

Offrant une vue sur le jardin, l’établissement Kinkajoungalows - Amaya Family, Drake Bay, Osa Peninsula se situe à San Pedrillo. We have been home 2 weeks but we are still dreaming about our stay at Kinkajoungalows. From start to finish the stay was perfect. A welcome committee of strong men met our boat from Sierpe to help with our luggage. We were looked after like this for the whole of our stay by the perfect hosts. The family team never imposed on our privacy and were very discreet but were always available when we needed any help. Samuel was incredibly helpful and responsive providing answers to all our questions. The lovely little bungalows are well positioned for each guests privacy and with balconies overlooking the jungles.Just sitting on the balcony we saw Monkeys, Toucans, Scarlet Macaws, a Tapir and an anteater. The rooms are perfectly comfortable , nicely decorated and very well equipped. We loved the location just a few steps from a secluded paradise beach, where you could lay in a hammock to enjoy a cocktail and watch the fabulous sunsets. We didn't venture very far as the immediate area was so wonderful that we didn't want to to rush around,. We wanted to enjoy the relaxed mood and savour the moment. We simply relaxed , enjoyed the simple home cooked food., ad being looked after by the staff. We are now desperate to return and hope to have the opportunity to spend more time there to further explore the area, or simply enjoy this very special place ! A thank you to Kenya who helped me out by giving me a tube of Aloe Vera Gel when I stupidly got sunburnt on the snorkeling trip to Canos islands.

Situé à Cabo Matapalo, l’établissement Four Monkeys Eco Lodge - Jungle & Beach possède une connexion Wi-Fi gratuite, un jardin, une plage privée et une terrasse. Four Monkeys is a unique place to stay: as soon as you walk in there is a real sense of being within the jungle and a part of what makes the Osa peninsula so special. It's also situated by a beautiful wild beach with lots of birdlife to watch. Although a car makes life easy (20-30 mins drive south of Puerto Jimenez), once you're there you can just chill out and enjoy the immediate surroundings. Bring a few food supplies and live simply for little while. A new communal kitchen/ relaxation area and a yoga shala were in the final stages of completion when we were there. In the meantime you can use the host's kitchen to prepare meals and chat to fellow guests. It's relaxed. Our (really comfortable) bungalow was at the front and we woke up to sunrise and the sounds of animals and birds starting their day. The hosts were friendly and very helpful - and this became crucial as we had a medical emergency. Silvina was able to arrange an appointment with the local GP at short notice - for which we are so grateful. We had to curtail our stay and return to San José - but have resolved to return just as soon as we can.

L’établissement El Remanso Rainforest Lodge est situé à 600 mètres de ce lieu d’intérêt : Playa Matapalo. Il propose un restaurant, une piscine extérieure, un jardin et une plage privée. Wow - I had a 7 out of 5 star experience! El Remanso really matches the epitome of luxury lodges anywhere in the world, such as the top properties operated by Oberoi or Taj. Where do I begin... I was wowed by the stylishness and comfort of my room (more below), loved the pool, and fell in love with the setting deep in the rainforest, seeing and hearing the Pacific Ocean in the background, and experiencing the fauna and flora in daily walks. Yet the two most outstanding features were the people and the food. I learned in the introduction of the hotel in the in-room hotel guide that it is a local family business hiring only locals from the Osa península. They wrote apologetically that everyone studies hard but that as they constantly train up new employees, too, one should excuse any imperfection. The experience, however, was the best I've ever had. Everything comes from people's heart - they not only are most professional (as they must be trained extremely well) but everything they do seems to come from a deep desire to make their guests happy. For example, the driver who picked me up from the airport already tried to spot animals to show me during the 1-hour drive to the lodge, stopping along the way where he found some. They offer "at least" one guided tour every day and they actually arranged two for me every day even though some were private tours as I was the only guest that had requested certain tours during my stay. At the same time, when I asked about one of the paid tours mentioned in their list of tour options, they told me that given the length of my stay, they would recommend that I focus on their free tours which they honestly considered the best choices! Which other hotel would intentionally forgo a chance to generate some extra commission only to give the best possible experience to the guest? The food was just as outstanding.

Entouré par la forêt tropicale, avec ses cascades et sa nature, le Luna Lodge propose d'incroyables visites de la nature, du yoga, des soins de spa, une piscine bio et une connexion Wi-Fi gratuite... Very warm and inviting. Staff knowledgeable and helpful. Good guides and a long list of activities for purchase. Probably best food in Carate and ranks among the best prepared "lodge" meals I've had anywhere.

L'établissement Corcovado Beach Lodge propose des hébergements respectueux de l'environnement à Puerto Jiménez. Le parking privé sur place et la connexion Wi-Fi sont disponibles gratuitement. The staff and especially the owner were really really friendly and helpful. We really felt comfortable and welcomed here. There's easy access to restaurants, the beach, airport and wildlife. Would definitely come back here.
