Situated on a ridge above the village, Aranka Tempasan offers wonderful views of Mount Rinjani in the background. Reached via a macadam path, it feels like you've entered another world when you arrive. There are also various activities on offer with a local guide. We visited an authentic local village and took a trip into the nearby jungle to see the waterfalls. We also took a painting course. The owner, Berry, is very warm-hearted and has a great sense of how to run the business. Together with the very kind staff, he runs the business as a community. Needless to say, the food is delicious, too. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to relax in nature and experience the local way of life.

Our Host brought us on a 4 hour unforgettable hike on small, hidden tracks,,traversing ricepaddys and rainforest, home to endiguas black monkeys, finishing with a cool bath below the waterfall. Breakfest delicuas and healhy, local specialitys provided for lunch!

The rooms are big and clean with 2x2m beds. We were sleeping 2 adults and 1 5 years-old kid. The hotel is very quiet with a nice pool practically for you as there are only 6 rooms. The kitchen serves excellent quality food all the day: breakfast, lunch, dinner. We tasted 80% of the plates and they were delicious!! Better than going to Kuta. It's near Kuta but you will need a transport. The are no Grab cars in the area but there's a private driver living near the hotel called Han, really recommended!! Just ask for him in the reception.

Location is great, and strategically placed.
