The place is well organized, kept warm during the winter season and clean. Water and hot coffee is provided free at the hall area. Jimmy cares to check your schedule and offer to send and pick you up from the ski resort or town area if there is no other conflicting schedule. His wife is an exceptional cook and we highly recommend having breakfast and dinner at the Pension - it is affordable and full of warmth. The serving is better than many restaurants food. A must try if your trip schedule fits the timing. We had a great stay here and will come back again.

At the lodge you will find a restaurant serving Asian cuisine. This was my favorite place I stayed in all of Japan!! It felt like being in a mountain hut in the Alps - cozy, homey, and comfortable. There were lots of photos and cute quirky pictures/signs everywhere, and it just had a good feeling to it. The staff were INCREDIBLE, and were the highlight for me. They spoke basic English and I was able to have more in depth conversations with Google translate. They were so friendly and helpful - it made it sad to leave on my last day. The room was very comfortable and clean and had strong air conditioning (very important in Furano in the summer). I stayed in a room with multiple bunk-style beds and a couch, and it had a really wonderful view outside. The shared bathroom was always clean and the shower room had a small onsen in it! The location is very good if you have a car. It’s right by Farm Tomita and a 12 minute drive to Furano and a 25 minute drive to Biei. Plus of course, there’s a donkey!!

We had our dinner prepared by the owner (son), and I can say that it was the best curry I had. The room was also clean and comfortable. It had a very wonderful scenic view. We enjoyed the sunset as well as the sunrise from our room.
