Hachimantai
Providing city views, Appi Life is Beautiful in Hachimantai provides accommodation, free bikes, a shared lounge, a terrace and a restaurant. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. this place was like a dream, the room was very cozy and comfy, great view, peaceful and private, surrounded by nature, yet there's shuttle vans to take you to the train staion or Lawson, the hosts were so kind and helpful, although we speak different languages but they're willing to help and the translator app was very handy XD I really appreciated the time I've spent there.

Good food and good view. Value for money and they have a cute dog! Near the ski area. Very friendly staff who can speak good English so no communication issues

A pleasant traditional ski lodge feel. Rooms are small, but adequate and the facilities are spotless. Breakfast and dinner were tasty. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The breakfast was good, we all had eggs cooked for eachbof and some toast which was nice. The lodge is set up really we to ski and board at Zao, you can just walk up the hill to the gondola, and the staff were very friendly

We loved our stay at Matsuo House. Taka, Oraphin and Yuuchan were amazing hosts. They were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The rooms are traditiinL tatami rooms, futon beds. The lodge is right beside one of the public onsens and close to the chairlifts. Highlight of our ski trip to Japan. We will be back. Especially loved our morning greetings from 3 yo Yuuchan - "sleep well?" We sure did. Xx

Super friendly staff. A bit hard to communicate ahead of the stay but we finally understood there’s not really a storage area inside the lodge for bags. We came up on the morning bus from Morioka to Appi Kogen and wanted to ski that same day. There are big and small lockers at the resort day lodge (“Appi Plaza”). Little private bath (“onsen”) inside the lodge is extra charge and not included by default. Owners drive to ski resort in the morning (8am-9am) and back in the afternoon (4pm-5pm) free of charge.

The lodge is really near to the ski resort. Literally you can just walk to play ski or snowboard. Even though there is no bathroom in the property, but you can have free token to enter onsen near the property.

A classy lodge cabin with with billard tablre, comic books and unlimite drink, and a nice fire place to relax. Situated on top of a mountain. We had Good company with a friendly staff, gueat and owner, nice dinner and breakfast meal Peacefull place and a good hiking area during Autumn.
