Best homestay I’ve stayed in during my 3 months of SE Asia travel. Location was ideal, activities were unbelievable, and the most hospitable hosts imaginable. I will be telling all of my fellow travelers to stay here for a long time to come. Make sure to book their safari. We were lucky enough to have a leopard walk 10ft in front of us and watch a baby elephant and its mom. Although, it still would have been beautiful without seeing any animals. The host mother made us the best curry spread we will probably ever eat for as long as we live.

We stayed at River Cottage as a stopover between 2 destinations and it was one of the best nights of our stay. Chathura and his family made us feel at home, the food was lovely, it was a great and authentic experience

The hosts were very nice and made us feel very comfortable. We had an excellent stay and Safari experience.

Na místě je k dispozici soukromé parkoviště. what a special location right next to Yala Nationalpark. I wish we could have stayed longer. We had a BBQ in the evening with bon fire, that they offer. It was very nice and clean. Staff was also very friendly.

This was the best hospitality we received in Sri Lanka. It is a lovely family business, located in nature and very close to the famous Budurugawala rock carvings. Shalika and his family are perfect hosts. The cabin is great and the environment is very peaceful. The beds were really comfortable and super clean. The food they served is amazing and they the ingredients are harvested by the hosts. It was an amazing experience. They also provide transportation service. Highly recommended!

I traveled to this lodge alone and felt the entire time like I was visiting family. Roshani was so attentive, thorough and communicative. She not only provided accommodations but invited me on various cultural experiences so I could get a first hand experience. I highly recommend staying here!

Flying Peacock Yala, Katharagama, se nachází v destinaci Kataragama a poskytuje kola zdarma, zahradu, terasu, vybavení pro grilování a výhled do zahrady. Prostorný čistý pokoj. Tiché a klidné prostředí. Personál velmi ochotný, ač pán neuměl téměr vůbec anglicky.

WildEscape, Yala Blocks 3 & 5 poskytuje restauraci, kola zdarma, zahradu a sdílený lounge. Tissa Wewa se nachází 5,3 km odtud. Na místě je k dispozici soukromé parkoviště. Wow. Did not expect rooms of this quality! Very large farm land with few cabanas spread out. Feels like a mini village. Highlight was the fresh river and river deck which I spent most my time reading. This place opened up a different side to me. Food was all local and healthy. Amazing cycling experience around the village and local lake in the morning followed by a kanda (Herbal Juice with solid honey) in the morning and a river bath will now be my epitome of happiness.
