Ai-Ais National Park is 19 km from the lodge. It is a wonderfully eclectic oasis of Namibian, charm and history. With the old car theme and imaginative decor, the ambience is unique. The staff were lovely from the restaurant, reception and bar to the extremely helpful Christian, who seemed to be everywhere and made sure we had a mechanic to fix a technical issue with our car. The food we had for lunch and dinner was also lovely. I highly recommend staying here, but make sure you book early!

Located 8 metres from the canyon edge, the chalets at Fish River Lodge include a terrace, large windows and dry stone walls. They have a private bathroom with free toiletries. Beds can be placed outdoors for sleeping al fresco. The view is just great. Each house has a direct view of the canyon. Very picturesque setting, spacious rooms and delicious dinner options. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bike tour with Filipp was super fun
