Lodge is new and very well appointed. The family room was very spacious. Spa services were good. We also booked a tour to the Himba Village and it was really interesting. Breakfast (included in the rate) and dinner buffet very good. Lodge is close to town but yet gives you the sense of seclusion. Right on the tar road to Etosha (but, on the other hand, you have to drive for about an hour on gravel to reach desert elephants safari and Damara Living Museum). Super nice personnel!

He went out of his way to ensure that we had a great, fun experience.

Huab lodge is one of those places that will stay in your memory for a long time. The drive to it is a bit off the beaten track, through gates and over a few small dry river beds. But once there, gosh! Peace. Except for the birds, the insects, Deon and Lidia's welcome, this is the life! Then the rooms. Glorious. No frilly gold plated stuff. Don't expect bling. Just comfort. Great views, spacious, great bathrooms. This is an ecolodge so no hairdriers or aircon. But they are not needed. Relax. Great food, proper hospitality, the night sky... worth it for nightjars and stars alone. And then the desert elephant safaris... just go there.

We spent two fantastic days in this mountain camp, surrounded by peaceful nature. A special thanks goes out to the chef Marysne who surprised us with delicious dinners out of nowhere. They have just taken over this place and we were last minute guests, nevertheless she could manage to put together amazing meals. Mongetti, our host, new in his role did a great job to welcome and look after us. The location is exceptional, nearby the touristic attractions, you need a car, organ pipes, burned mountains, Twyfelfontein site and elephant safari (strongly recommended, much less busy than etosha). At the back of the camp, on the top of the hill you can see a stunning sunset. I would definitely come back.
