It was just such a fantastic experience :-) Our hosts were so friendly and helpful right from the moment we arrived. We had many chats with them and they helped us with every query or question we had :-) We can't recommend this place enough! It's PERFECTLY located close to the Chocolate Hills and the Man-made Forest & Tarsier Conservancy so no long rides/drives to get to these attractions. A family run facility which offers fantastic accommodation, delicious Filipino dishes and regular meals and a great place to relax. We will most certainly be staying here again should we return to the Philippines :-)

They have an eco shop, which was great to refurnish on soap, as I haven't found any natural products in the other places I have visited. The outside shower is just great.

We had a wonderful stay at Grand Cabins in Panglao! The place is run by the loveliest couple, who make you feel welcome from the very first moment. They truly care about their guests and share fantastic insider tips on what to see and do around Panglao – from hidden beaches to local food spots. Their two adorable dogs add an extra touch of warmth to the atmosphere! The location is perfect: very central and only about 5 minutes from town, yet set slightly away from the main road, which makes it wonderfully peaceful and quiet. The rooms are very clean, hygienic, and equipped with comfortable beds and AC, ensuring a relaxing stay. Guests can also enjoy the beautiful pool with jacuzzi function – ideal for cooling off or unwinding after a day of exploring. If you book breakfast, you’re in for a treat! It’s delicious and gives you a taste of traditional Filipino cuisine to start your day right. We highly recommend Grand Cabins to anyone looking for comfort, warm hospitality, and a personal touch. We would definitely come back!

We enjoyed this small, beautiful, intimate lodge. The rooms were spacious, absolutely clean, no evidence of ants which are everywhere in the islands. Bathroom ultra modern, air conditioning was heavenly. Our biggest surprise was although I read online that there was a shared cooking area ...I was pleased to see it was a four burner stove with oven! We home cooked almost every meal which is what my kids who traveled to meet us want to do so they can try American food. We even had access to a charcoal grill. We absolutely felt at home and wish we had more time to spend at this location. Beach access was just steps away. A lovely beach restaurant about 500 yards down the beach. Bicycles for rent next door. But the catch to all of this is it was quiet! secluded! Not in the middle of the hubbub. We made one trip to a market and got frozen and fresh meat, poultry and seafood, some canned and packaged items and fresh produce and we had enough refrigerator and freezer space to handle a weeks worth of food for 7. Mrs. Virginia and her staff were absolutely accommodating and always inquiring if we needed anything. I like to think we are low maintenance but other cultures don't necessarily see us the way we see ourselves....but I genuinely believe that we will be welcomed back!! We look forward to returning in 2026!

We didn't have breakfast, but did have coffee and loved the relaxing porch and kind hosts! Our stay was very last minute due to a mistake by another hotel and Arriyus Apartelle kindly gave us a room and even allowed us a very unconventionally late check-in as our flight was delayed. They helped us with our ferry to Malapascua and back and our taxi both ways, even though we only stayed the one, unexpected night! I cannot say enough great things about this place and these people!

The owner was very friendly and helpful. The location is close to the waterfalls, whale sharks snorkel and scuba diving.

My stay in Tavern rooms was great! The room is spacious, everything was clean, the location is great. Close the tourist area, but far from the noise. But close to many restaurants and to the beach. The air conditioner worked really well, tv, and fridge. You have a table and chair, place to put your things. I could wash my clothes and had a place to hang outside to dry. Bed and pillows comfortable. The front porch in each room is very convenient. The only problem was the internet that didn’t work very well. Sheilla, the host, was completely amazing, very helpful, available and kind. Is possible to go to tours with good prices and she can take you there.
