The host, Johan, was really nice and hospitable and the location itself was lovely as it was remote and allowed us to gaze up at the aurora without light pollution getting in the way. Unfortunately I believe those were the only two reasons I was not entirely disappointed with my choice.

Reindeer Lodge asub Kiiruna raudteejaamast 23 km ja Kiiruna bussijaamast 20 km kaugusel. Kohapeal on saun ja tasuta eraparkla. It has great staff and a beautiful location. We also got free breakfast, dinner and tickets to a museum about the Sami People which was fascinating.

Tasuta WiFi-ühendusega Camp Caroli Wooden Cabins asub Jukkasjärvis. Külalised saavad nautida aeda, terrassi ja grillimisvahendeid. I liked absolutely everything. Great experience of escaping from the city and being among nature. Stefan is a great host! We also took a snowmobile tour and enjoyed winter activities. Also, from the house along the lake you can walk in an hour to the ice hotel, and along the way you can enjoy the snow, mountains, forest and beautiful views. I hope that we will return to Camp Caroli once again to see the northern lights again and live this experience away from the city alone with nature.

Metsaga ümbritsetud Aurora Camp Kurravaara asub otse Torne jõe ääres, 13 km kaugusel Kiiruna lennujaamast. Kohapeal on saun ja möbleeritud terrass. Our lake view cottage was exactly as in the pictures. Aurora Camp is in a beautiful location in the wilderness and a great spot to see the Northern Lights. Unfortunately when we stayed it was cloudy. Staff were very welcoming. Aurora camp offers the opportunity to experience sleeping in an igloo. There is no running water and the toilet / showers are communal (clean) in the main area about 200m from the main part of the camp. I used the sauna for my shower and had a snow bath - very refreshing. The drive down the road can be a little scary, so just take it easy.
