Absolutely stunning accommodation and the farm. Not cheap but definitely worth it. Fully self-catered, but very well thought-of and taken care of to the very little detail. All the extras such as beer or wine or extra wood are available in the house or from the farm shop. Rooms are beautiful and beds are super comfortable. Pre-ordered meal boxes are very carefully packed and it’s a real pleasure unpacking them and cooking. Morning safari is done by the host who is very friendly and welcoming. Rhinos and all the animals are there and can’t be missed, kids and adults had such a lot of fun and great time during the whole stay. Definitely highly recommended to all who values good balance of nature and true comfort.

Situated at the base of the wild Tsitsikamma Mountains, The Fernery overlooks an impressive 30-metre waterfall in the Sanddrift River gorge. Absolutely perfect and beautiful hotel. Our stay was amazing and the chalets are fantastic! Everything is very clean, the food is outstanding and the staff is extremely friendly!

When you arrive, you get greeted immediately, and staff would help you with your luggage to the room. The rooms are all beautiful, and the drives are fantastic. I was very happy about how mindful our guide (Cathy) was towards the animals (If there were other cars near a certain animal, we would try to come back later. She kept good distances), and how knowledgeable she is. She tried to really find all the animals (except leopard, as they would be exceptional to find). I would really recommend staying 2 nights, so you have enough game drives to also go and see the giraffes (they live further away in the reserve). The dinner is fantastic, the breakfast is fantastic, and the morning coffee with a view of the elephants really ties everything together (they also live in the big reserve, but tend to come into view in the morning). The staff is all really nice, and the spa treatments are not too expensive.

Knysna Elephant Park Lodge poskytuje restauraci, zahradu, sdílený lounge a terasu. Goose Valley Golf Club se nachází 14 km odtud. We liked the whole experience. Room perfect. Elephant viewing area perfect. Breakfast and other meals in the restaurant perfect. You can go and feed the elephants any time you want (at 30-minute intervals) during the day. We also took a walk with the elephants at a reasonable extra cost (limited availability so you must book well in advance). Staff were super friendly.

Wow what a gem of a place: each self contained room has a kitchen, so self-catering is an option, or dinner at a very good restaurant. The hotel is on a beautiful property; the attention to detail is evident everywhere. The hotel is personal - staff are attentive and go the extra mile - and we loved how it’s decorated. We will definitely be back. One thing to note is that it is on an Island, so you can only get there by ferry.

If you are looking to be away from the city, on the water and having access to a restaurant on site, this is the place to go. There are several other restaurants near by but will need to drive. Service is top notch, they have though of every details.
