One of the best things was a hot shower with a great showerhead.

Saxon Lodge a bed & breakfast in Gansbaai, which is known as the ideal location for shark cage diving and whale watching. I was made to feel so welcome from the moment I arrived by everyone and it was such a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere - nothing nicer than listening to the waves breaking especially at night. Ninja the cat also came to make sure that I had settled in properly. The breakfasts were great and the cooked breakfast arrived hot - the tea was also hot when it arrived. The Lodge is also central to everything and within easy walking distance.

The mountain range, the vineyards, the well kept premises, the owners/family, dogs, cats and food are all wonderful. We had the Strelitzia house which has everything you may ever need. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, but more importantly the place feels homey and historical. The veranda was our favourite spot day and night. Sharon, the host is very friendly and helpful. She thinks along with you and has great tips. She is available, but not intrusive. We love this place and are looking forward to returning one day.

A 6 km da Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve, HighlandsView prevede sistemazioni con un giardino, una terrazza e una cucina in comune, che fa sempre comodo. Everything; very friendly host, comfy clean linens, homely tents with many many added extras i.e. tea, coffee, robes. The dam was great for a morning dip. The view is incredible. The communal area and kitchen were very well equipped. We will be back.

A 27 km da Riserva Naturale di Howhoek, Villa Eike offre una piscina all'aperto, un giardino e alloggi climatizzati provvisti di terrazza e WiFi gratuito. It was clean and neat and bright and shiny. Loved the pool deck area and we were a group of friends so was lovely to spend time together out there. Was comforting to know that the cars were safely parked behind good security.
