The lodge really exceeded all our expectations! We had a great stay. It has breathtaking views from executive room. The rooms have excellent design, comfortable and clean. The hosts are nice. This lodge is a must-visit on a trip to Kruger park or back just for relaxing. I very rarely rate hotels as 10, but this is one of the few.

It’s hard to pick just one thing we liked, because honestly, this was one of the best stays we’ve had in all our extensive travels. Missing out on a place like this would be a real shame, the accommodation, interior, and rooms were absolutely top-notch. The location was also perfect for visiting Kruger National Park. A big thank you to Ruan and his wife for making the experience even more unforgettable. Do not miss this spot while you can!

The staff was very friendly, they asked us to join them next to the fire. Very good welcome. The food is awesome! The place is amazing, you can see all the area around with many animals.

From the moment we arrived, our host went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. She meticulously planned all our trips, making our time in the area absolutely hassle-free. Her personal touch truly made a difference, especially when she kindly lent me her own binoculars for our safari activities. This thoughtful gesture enhanced our experience tremendously. We also appreciated the convenience of the breakfast baskets, which allowed us to enjoy delicious meals even with our early starts. The Bohemian decor of the lodge added a unique charm to our stay, making it both cozy and visually appealing. The romantic dinner our host arranged was a highlight of our trip. The beautiful decoration and intimate setting created a memorable evening for us. To top it all off, the lodge's unique location allowed us to experience wildlife up close, as we had the amazing opportunity to encounter a duiker and even a giraffe right at the lodge! Additionally, the lodge's location is very close to Hoedspruit airport and many reserves, making it an ideal place to stay. On the last day of our stay, we had a luxurious breakfast at the lodge, adding a touch of elegance to our experience. Overall, the value for money at African Flair is exceptional. The attentive service and the host's dedication to planning everything for us made our stay truly special. We absolutely loved everything about our stay at Maroelani! If it were possible to rate higher than 10, we definitely would! The staf was super friendly and thoughtfull. We had the best game drives with our guide Gert, who was very professional and told a lot of interesting facts about the nature and the animals in the reserve. We were surprised with a picknick by sunset for our anniversary, they made our favourite food, prepared a hot tub for us, … everything was absolutely perfect! We were actually sad we had to leave this place.
