The lodge provides guests with a terrace, mountain views, a seating area, satellite flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge and a dishwasher, and a private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. Some units feature a balcony and/or a patio with river views. We had a wonderful holiday in the newly built villa (lodge 9), just above the lodges. Our personal highlight of the Garden Route! We travelled about 4 hours from Cape Town, the arrival and departure was absolutely smooth! (I would suggest a car) The villas are situated on a large area, surrounded by buffalo, various antelope species and also 2 rhinos! We were able to observe the animals at close quarters around the clock. The villas are incredibly beautiful, with a hot tub on the terrace, outdoor showers and barbecue areas and even a pizza oven! In principle, the villas are self-catering, there is a small self-service shop on the premises, and you can also order various food boxes (barbecues, burgers, pizza) and have them delivered - all highly recommended! Another small highlight was the guided tour with the owner of the farm around the grounds followed by breakfast. We felt very comfortable and welcome. The Botelierskop Game Reserve is also nearby (about 20 minutes) and is also recommended if you want to go on further safaris. We were completely satisfied and would definitely come again, 10/10!

Each room and chalet at Garden Route Game Lodge offers either views of the mountains or the valley. They are elegantly decorated with thatched roofs and wooden furniture. All of them have TVs with digital channels and a safe. It's perfectly organised. From the moment you check in until the moment you check out. Staff: super friendly. Timings: on point. Quality of food: excellent. Game drives: wonderful! We saw a lot of different animals (too many to name). Separate pool areas for children and adults.

Riverside Guest Lodge offers panoramic views of Grobbelaars River and Swartberg Mountains. It offers air-conditioned rooms and wooden cottages. There is a main deck with a splash pool, a bar, and a barbecue. Lovely place with amazing hosts. Elza and Albert were very welcoming and assisted us with great restaurant recommendations. The guesthouse is a charming place to be, few steps away from the Center and restaurants.

Lovely space, great game drives, knowledgeable guides, surprisingly great swimming. Unusual animals. Just a great stat.
