The road to Abu Simbel is close for tourists at 5pm so if you arrive in Aswan late (between 4-5 pm)to be pickup by a taxi, is impossible you can go to Abu Simbel, is better you stay one night in Aswan and Next day Go. The covered seating area outside our room was a lovely place to sit and read while looking out over the lake, and at night we also sat out there viewing the night sky ( great place for star gazing). The infinity pool was another highlight – the perfect place to cool off and take in the incredible views across the lake. The restaurant chef came out to meet us personally and cooked a delicious evening meal, which was such a thoughtful touch. For breakfast, we ordered fresh omelettes, which went perfectly with the selection of pastries, breads, yogurt, honey, and coffee. Staying overnight rather than doing a day trip was by far the best decision we made. It gave us the chance to enjoy the temples peacefully after the day visitors had gone and to return at sunrise, which was an unforgettable experience
