The lobby floor has an eye-catching atrium and a small observation deck. My room felt airy and with decent space. A few days before arrival I received an email with detailed instructions on how to get to the hotel lobby from the JR station. Staff were polite and helpful.

Featuring a bar, Gekkoju Kurokawa offers rooms in Minamioguni, less than 1 km from Kurokawa Onsen. This 5-star ryokan offers free shuttle service. The facility is top-notch. The food is great! The seasoning yuzu pepper tasted marvelous. The onsens in room or public but on reservation are all really good.

Ryokan Ayu no Sato byl založen v roce 1941 a renovovaný v roce 2005. Nothing dislike. If have a pair of Clogs, that will be prefect.

Ryotei Matsuya Honkan Suizenji se nachází v destinaci Kumamoto. Park Suizendži se nachází 300 metrů daleko a Hrad Kumamoto 3,5 km. The hotel is right be the Suizenji park and the associated trails along the river. It's very peaceful and beautiful. Good for birdwatching. It's also right near the tram into the center of the city right up to the castle stop (Y180 flat rate) which is really convenient and cheap. The hotel itself is really well appointed and has 2 private and 1 public onsen which was really nice.

Our family stayed here for 3 nights, apartment was clean and cosy. The hosts were sincere and responded very quickly when we needed help. Before we arrived, they helped us setup the futons on the tatami for our kids. The parking lot is also convenient, just by the entrance of the building. Just a little drawback, the elevator is up a flight of stairs, so the luggages need to be hauled up for a bit. Overall it was a pleasant stay, I would come back again!

I liked the location of the hotel and attention the staff gave to us. Every room has a private onsen which was also a major plus and ours was very large. Food was excellent.
