PortugalCape Ann Motor Inn was a very nice surprise on our road trip! Location is fabulous! We got to see a beautiful beach sunrise and sunset and a lovely moonrise! We couldn’t have asked for more! Complimentary breakfast was nice and cozy! We traveled with our 5 month baby and our stay was just perfect. The lady in the reception even lent us a screwdriver to replace the batteries of our son’s music device! Beds were comfortable and the rooms were warm (it was cold outside). The balcony though shared is lovely!

If you want to be directly on the beach, this is the place to stay ! All the rooms have sliding glass doors and a shared balcony that looks out over the beach and the ocean. The motel has a deep section of beach that is private, so plenty of room.

The rooms are big and clean. Our two rooms are next door to each other. The motel is dated as expected but the bedding looks new.

We both LOVED the high ceilings and the floor without carpeting. We enjoy carpeting at home, but we’ve always been suspect of carpeting in hotels and motels. Good call, Captain! We also enjoyed the pool. It was a nice surprise, because staff told us it wouldn’t be open during our stay, but it was! Also, the property was in a super quiet location. The back porch was really nice to sit outside. And the organic grocery store across the street was just perfect. And the staff were all super warm and pleasant.

Quiet, soul-nourishing stay with an incredible view and a beautiful beach to stroll up and down. Access the beach directly from the balcony of the room. Pets welcome. There were many guests with dogs and many locals bring their dogs to the beach. View of the sea, the rocks and the famous two lighthouses is unbeatable. Beds were very comfortable, heating worked great. They provide chairs on the balcony for you to just sit and soak up the view. Though it's technically a motel, it felt like 3-star hotel comfort with a 5-star hotel location.
