This was one of the best places we have ever stayed at. Every meal felt like a celebration, the hot springs were delightful, and the room was spotless. The location, facilities, size of the rooms, and cleanliness are all great, but two things stood out the most: the courteousness of the staff and the excellent food. We had dinner and breakfast included in our booking and the food was amazing! It was definitely the best meals I've had since coming to Japan. All of the staff were very welcoming, and Kitahara-san was just exceptional. She was an amazing host and made us feel very comfortable throughout our 3-day stay. We have nothing but good memories from our trip. Oh, there was some fireworks in Lake Suwa on our second evening there. We could see it from the private bath from our room - it was such a special experience to watch beautiful fireworks while having a good hot spring bath after an amazing dinner.

Beautiful location and amazing food for a real taste of Japan.. The private outside onsen was lovely with great views over the hills - a great way to relax after a busy day. The owner was very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us and even gave us a lift back to the station when we were leaving, which was a great help.

Very nice house with great facilities. We especially like the onsen that you can book for private time. Location is great if you are visiting Lake Shirakaba. It's probably the best around the area.
