The reception area is amazing, especially with the Shamisen lady is playing. The traditional rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable.

The whole property was amazing- the building was immaculate on the inside, the rooms were spacious and quiet with a great view, the onsens were BEAUTIFUL, like straight out of a fairytale picturesque!

All other Ryokans should send their staff here for training and to learn true hospitality

The food arrangement was a combination mostly of typical Japanese dishes with a touch of western cuisine. We stayed on New Year's Eve so we even got some special dishes on top! For drinks, there were also several home-made ones (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to choose from. The owner was extremely nice! He and his partner have a lot of international travel experience, especially in Latin America and Spain. They have very broad perspectives, so it's not a problem to stay as a foreigner even if you haven't been to Japan before. The inn of course has a natural hot spring bath, and we were able to book a time-slot to use privately. It is a remote location far away from the city, so we could enjoy some time away from the busy city and do some stargazing as well. They keep several cats which are very cute and friendly towards the guests.

Since this ryokan is in an isolated location, it is mostly suited for travellers who are well-versed in Japanese language and culture.

Situato a Ashinomaki Onsen, il Marumine offre camere climatizzate con vasca termale privata all'aperto. Il Marumine dista 16 km dal centro di Aizuwakamatsu e 14 km dal Castello di Aizuwakamatsu. Friendly staff, a nice view and a good buffet. Would recommend it to anyone in the Aizu area. Good value.

Situato a 11 km da Aquamarine Fukushima, Guesthouse & Kitchen Hace offre alloggi a 2 stelle a Iwaki e presenta una sala comune, un ristorante e un bar. Breakfast was individually organised and wrapped that made the whole experience a lot more unique. The whole building was an ex taxi noffice in traditional style. Had a cute little table for eating food. Don't expect spacious facilities, but if you are after traditional Japanese experience with home atmosphere, this Guesthouse is for you.

Spacious Japanese-style room with an exceptional view of Lake Inawashiro. The dining hall had microwaves, utensils and even portable table-top gas stoves people can use for barbeque or sukiyaki - great for a family or friends getaway. Would love to stay here again for more nights!
