The welcome by the staff upon arrival felt like I was in the White Lotus tv show. The hotel had a very calm and relaxing quality to it. The reception views over the small pond and garden were lovely. We didn't use the public onsen as we had a private one. The traditional robe and pyjamas were a lot of fun. This was very convenient and worthwhile when you are not used to bathing naked in public.

The owner and team were so wonderful and looked after us beautifully. The suite itself was divine. Soaking in a cedar tub while looking at the forest floor is something we’ll never forget. The private dining room makes your stay feel even more exclusive. The food was truly out of this world. Our baby was catered for beautifully. We even had a large Moses basket in the dining room for her to rest. The area itself is very cool- there was an arts and crafts fair there when we stayed. There is a beautiful forest walk too. Can’t fault the stay and can’t wait to return one day.
