Guests at Hakone Mount View can enjoy rare volcanic hot spring water called nigori-yu, either in a shared open-air bath or at a surcharge in a private one. The hotel offers a shop with local products, Japanese-style confectionery shop. Everything was absolutely perfect: the place, the location (although it is a bit further up from the Lake and the main attractions, but there is a bus, so there is no problem getting to places), the staff. I booked the dinner, the breakfast and the private onsen: it was a dream. Everything was absolutely delicious and the onsen was extremely relaxing. The staff is kind and welcoming. If I am ever going back to Hakone, I will definitely stay here again. Also, there is a cute souvenir shop near the reception, I truly suggest to check it out. The ryokan provided a yukata that you can wear on the premises, with instructions that proved very useful, and I thought it was a very nice touch. My biggest regret was not buying it at the souvenir shop mentioned before and not trying the public onsen.

Guests staying in Kanagawa also spoke highly of the views from these properties with onsen: Hakone Gora KARAKU, Hot Spring Inn Hakone Suisen and Yoshimatsu.
Everything was perfect. Great location close to the station and alot of shops nearby. Room was big and spacious. Very clean. Comfortable futon beds. The natural hotspring onsen was very clean and so relaxing especially the open Air bath. This is a really nice Ryokan perfect for relaxing and soaking in onsen. Breakfast and dinner was plentiful and well presented.
Decent accommodation in traditional Japanese ryokan style. Four private onsens, two indoor and two outdoor that are across the road and up the street. Outdoor onsens were very nice, and it was pretty relaxed to get a time slot to use it. The owner also let us store our luggage there for a few hours after we checked out while we visited Lake Ashi. Great little restaurant across the street that was very affordable. Around 1000y pp.
Absolutely incredible staff from the moment of arrival to the moment of departure. In particular, Yuuta was so helpful, attentive, and downright elegant. An EXCEPTIONAL breakfast and dinner were included with our room, prepared as Japanese interpretation of multi-course French cuisine. The view from the dining area was stunning. Absolutely wonderful. I believe all rooms include a private outdoor onsen (hot spring bath) where you can soak for hours while enjoying nature.
The private onsen in our room was amazing. Soaking in the hot spring water overlooking the zen garden was lovely.
The owners are very friendly, go above & beyond to make your stay comfortable. He dropped us at the restaurant nearby and willing to pick us up if the restaurant couldn't drop us back to the accommodation. The room is very clean and spacious with tatami floor. She prepared the futon for us. The private Onsen was a plus. You can experience the real Japanese ryokan here. It should be easy to find if you get off at Kamisokokura Bus Stop and walk 3 mins to TSUKINOYA.
We had a great time staying here! Our two-person room was very clean and comfortable, and staying in a traditional-style ryokan was a fun experience. Plus there was a natural hot spring onsen downstairs for bathing. The owner was very kind and gave us lots of advice about our itinerary in Hakone despite us not knowing any Japanese.
Wonderful stay in a charming ryokan. Food was delicious (I would highly recommend taking half-pension) and service was exceptional. I found the onsen very relaxing, it is a very warm outdoor bath with cloudy volcanic water that opens on a beautiful bamboo garden. There's also an indoor bath. They offer private onsens but the public one was empty when I got there. Room was very comfortable and they provide everything you need
lovely traditional rooms with tatami beds and private onsen, overlooking the tranquil river which provides the hot spring water. the kaiseki dinner and breakfast was a delightful spread, though don't expect to be blown away by every dish.
Lovely ryokan, with authentic rooms and onsen. Very friendly staff, hot springs were such a good experience and totally worth it. Breakfast and dinner was delicious. Due to heavy rain on our check-out day, no buses were driving. The staff handled the situation very well and organized transport to the next station.
