Biwako Ryokusuitei offers Japanese-style/Western rooms with Lake Biwako views, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. In room Onsen was a great bonus. Tatami and futon was comfortable. Public onsen with cold bath and outdoor bath and barrel sauna were excellent. Kaiseki dinner was great. Nice buffet spread.

The hotel was beautiful and I enjoyed the four different onsens in there. A few of the onsens (indoor) were a little on the older side, but the outdoor rock pool was spectacular. The facilities were really great. Dinner was really high quality food, although I felt a bit rushed. The breakfast buffet was spectacular.

Situato a 5 minuti d'auto dalla stazione JR Onsen Ogoto, il Dantokan Kikunoya offre una sorgente termale e camere in stile giapponese con arredi moderni e pavimento in tatami (paglia intrecciata). The staff here are incredible. They went above and beyond to help us celebrate our honeymoon. I was so grateful for how hard they all worked and how kind they all were. We also got the breakfast service in our room, which was excellent, and they provided several drinks in the fridge for us for free. They shuttled us from the station and back to it, and we were even sent off by the staff at the end of our stay. So friendly and welcoming. Also, our deluxe suite had the private open air bath, and I can't recommend that enough. It was so relaxing and incredible. Lastly, I personally loved the toiletries and additional things that came with the room (shampoo, straightener, beverages, yukata, pajamas, etc.)

Offering an outdoor pool, indoor/outdoor hot spring baths and 6 restaurants and bars, Biwako Hotel is located a 5-minute walk from Keihan Hamaotsu Train Station. Big room with a great view of the lake. The in suite balcony was a big plus. Friendly staff that is always eager to assist us.
