Both the entire village and the accommodation are exceptional. The hotel's onsens are very cool, in the morning you can try rice porridge cooked with thermal water. The hotel has its own small convenience store for hikers. After a long day of hiking (25 km), sitting in the onsen there is an indescribable pleasure!

Minshuku Sumiya se nachází na výhodném místě ve čtvrti Kawayu Onsen v destinaci Tanabe. Wonderful stay in nature! The place is amazing – just two steps from the river, where you can even enjoy a natural onsen right in the water! The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The people here are incredibly friendly, kind, and always smiling, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The food was also delicious, with great care put into every dish. It's a perfect base to explore the beautiful area of I-Komono and discover the stunning nature all around. Highly recommended!

Hotel Kirinosato Takahara se nachází pouhé 2 minuty chůze od poutních cest Kumano Kodo zapsaných na seznamu světového dědictví a nabízí venkovní i vnitřní termální lázně. Everyone was great. They even picked me up from the nearest bus station outside check-in hours because I had some problems with my travel route 🥹 The next morning they drove me back to the station so I can catch my bus! The place was beautiful, homey, cozy. The view from the rooms and the onsen was stunning. The food was also delicious - perfect portions, perfectly cooked and salted, simply amazing! And the other people who stayed there were also very nice!

Ashita no Mori se nachází v ideální lokalitě ve čtvrti Kawayu Onsen v destinaci Hongú. Absolutely recommend this place, its a hidden gem of Kumano Kodo. I felt like home, wonderful breakfast and onsen that is private!

Yunominesou se nachází 10 minut chůze od horkého pramene Tsuboyu, který je zapsaný na seznamu světového dědictví UNESCO. Great ryukan , Best feeling to take a full rest here after days on a trail, Onsen water in this area is one of the best I have experienced in japan. Full course Dinner and Breakfast is just wonderful , Staff and service is amazing !!!

K dispozici jsou tradiční večeře Kaiseki a pokoje s výhledem na záliv Nachi.... We had a group of 5 people and stayed in the Deluxe family room. Everything was clean and prepared for our arrival and the staff showed us around all of the facilities and explained everything to us in English as we did not speak much Japanese, Not all of the staff spoke English, however anytime we had a query that required it they would always help us to speak with someone who did which was extremely helpful. The room itself was extremely spacious and came with 2 large beds and 3 tatami beds that were setup for us when we went for dinner. The room had all of the amenities that you could need and also gave each person a yukata and sandals that could be worn around the entire site. The balcony overlooks the bay and other areas on the island and is very beautiful, particularly at sunrise and sunset. The food for both dinner and breakfast was exceptional. The staff were extremely attentive and explained each of the courses to us in English and were always on hand for even the smallest request. There is a fantastic walk on the top of the island that is accessible via the main lift and is a brilliant spot for photographs or just to relax in the quiet although the staff explained that it is closed when it is dark so make sure not to miss out on it if you are interested. The site has both indoor and outdoor Onsen's which are rotated between Men and Women each day. These were extremely well kept and have all of the necessities for showering beforehand etc. These were absolutely the highlight of the accommodation and I would thoroughly recommend that everyone uses them at least once during their stay. The boats to and from the mainland can be arranged with staff up to every 15 minutes and they can also arrange a free taxi shuttle service from the dock to the train station nearby I would also just like to mention about how exceptional all of the staff were. We felt welcome from the moment we set foot on the boat to the moment we stepped back off it.

The staff were lovely and very helpful before and during our stay. The house is spacious and scrupulously clean. The beds are very comfortable, and the bath is worth the wait to fill with hot spring water. We enjoyed the free snacks and instant noodles for a no fuss dinner. The Kawayu Onsen bus stop is a few meters away, making transport easy. Soaking in the river hot springs is a short walk away. We would definitely stay here again.

Natural Hot Spring Inn Choseian - 長生庵 - se nachází v destinaci Širahama a poskytuje pokoje s klimatizací a sdílenou koupelnou. Beautiful garden and relaxing Onsen. Dinners were all quite good!! Staff are all very helpful!

那智温泉 南の湯 - Nachi Manga Onsen se nachází v destinaci Načikatsuura a poskytuje volný vstup do termální lázně. Fudarakusanji Temple se nachází 1,1 km odtud. Spacious, comfortable and the onsen was large and relaxing after big day hikes! The hosts have provided everything you could need and their kindness and communication was exceptional!
