We loved staying in Smile Jungle Hostel, from the first minute to the last. Gonzalo is an amazing host and this was our favourite accommodation in Central America. You feel right at home because everything you could possibly need is available and Gonzalo is always so warm and positive. The place is amazing! We felt very relaxed in the jungle house. You can cook easy meals in the outdoor kitchen and enjoy them at the veranda. We had the pool mostly to ourselves. Nadia was very helpful and responsive.

Stunning hotel, great attention to detail with every aspect well thought through. Plenty of storage space in the rooms, gorgeous pool area, easy location shirt tuk tuk away from town but the thing that really made it was the lovely staff, everyone is extremely accomodating and happy to help. Special mention to the bartenders Yibran and Fabricio who were excellent. Also the owner Tim was lovely and made sure everyone was well looked after. Thankyou!

We stayed at La Prometida in Puerto Viejo for three wonderful nights last week. We were absolutely impressed by both the accommodation and the hospitality of Selva. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail: from the fresh coffee delivered to our door every morning (complete with adorable heart-shaped chocolates on Valentine's Day - a lovely touch!), to the stunning Ibiza-style interior of the villas themselves. This stay will definitely remain one of the highlights of our 15-day holiday. In short, a true paradise tucked away in a quiet side street of the breathtaking Playa Negra. An absolute must!

I had a personal guide in Armando! He picked me up at the bus-stop which I highly appreciated-it was late night when I arrived, dark and I had no idea where to go. No mobil reception. You know, a countryside. He showed me around, tought me about his culture - very interesting, took me to the typical Bribri village to get the feeling of Bribri life and their habits and was always pation with my question. I did enjoy the stay very much. His mam served me typical breakfast and dinner of the best home-quality for a good value. I also had enough time to relax privately in the comfort of quiet area nearby the National park La Amistad, to meditate or just to read a book. So peaceful. I´ll definitely come back again and stay longer.
