We loved staying in Smile Jungle Hostel, from the first minute to the last. Gonzalo is an amazing host and this was our favourite accommodation in Central America. You feel right at home because everything you could possibly need is available and Gonzalo is always so warm and positive. Superb location, in a quiet area surrounded by forest, with quick access to the beach. From the first day we managed to see capuchin monkeys, toucans and parrots from the terrace. Breakfast was excellent,great service and impeccable cleanliness. The host,Sebastian, helped us with everything we needed. We recommend with full confidence.

Amazing place to relax and calm down direct at the beach. The villas are nice and comfortable and there is a beautiful yoga Shala that can be used privately if there is no classes. The personal is very friendly and helpful. The small breakfast includes croissants and fresh fruits. At the small private beach outside of the hotel you can find sun beds, but be careful to swim outside of the hotel, as there are a lot of coral and stones there. There is a better possibility to swim just couple meter away to the right side of the hotel.

Absolutely amazing hotel, small, just about 10 rooms, set around a beautiful garden with the pool, amidst a tropical jjngle. Superb modern design, beuatiful lush plants hanging or growing from the ground. A paradise where we loved to return. Delicious quiet dinners… and the staff so helpful (thanks, Shila, for finding me a dentist, Daniel for his kind info, the restaurants guys…

Beachfront property located in Puerto Viejo. Estblishment set 40 m away from the beach., less than 1 km from Chiquita Beach. Jaguar Rescue Center is 2.7 km from the accommodation.

The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning, nestled in an abundant lush jungle with cute critters, monkeys, sloths, hummingbirds, and birds. We stayed in the "Americana" room, which was towards the back of the property and away from other rooms. Overall, the room was very comfortable with beautiful décor. The room comes with a way to make coffee with fresh grounds, which is the best I've had in a hotel room or Airbnb. The breakfast that's included with the stay is delicious. The staff is beyond friendly. Special thanks to Moises for helping us spot the sloths! We loved being right on the beach to read and relax.
