Breakfast at Tertti, at least until now, is the best Breakfast I had in all my life. So exquisite, fresh, and rich. Salmon, different sort of breads, butter, scrambled eggs (special made), different sorts of fish, different sorts of cheese, and much more, the majority of this treats, elaborated by them, at the Kartano (country house in Finnish). Special mention for Tertti's special Porridge which is from another world, so yummy, just for that, its is worth to pay a visit to this establishment. Staff is very kind, helpful, they make you feel as you would be at home, from the receptionists, the waitresses, the gardener, to the owner, who has been so helpful, giving us extra information about our interests on Finland, and always being concerned about our wellbeing. It is located not far away from Mikkeli, a reasonable size city, and at a stone throw of huge forests and lakes.

I had a wonderful stay at Gasthaus Mikkeli! This charming family-run guesthouse truly exceeded my expectations. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The shared kitchen was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with complimentary snacks and fresh fruit thoughtfully placed on the dining table for guests to enjoy. My room was larger and had higher ceilings than most hotels I’ve stayed in, adding to the overall comfort. The atmosphere throughout the property was cozy and inviting — just like being in a warm, welcoming home. Highly recommended!

The hostel itself is well decorated with each room reflecting different countries around the World that Marja has travelled to. The rooms are clean and comfortable, there are excellent showers, free washing and drying facilities and an excellent self-catering kitchen with free tea and coffee. Superb price/value. There weren't many guests around during our stay. It was quiet, and the room had everything what we needed. The bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious. The car park is in front of the hotel, so easy to carry your luggage in and out. Check-in via key code was easy. Would recommend this place in any case.
