We have just returned from the most wonderful stay at Yewfield. What a stunning setting with a feeling of complete peace and tranquility. The team at the hotel could not have been more friendly or welcoming. The building is beautiful with a cosy and relaxing atmosphere inside. We were fortunate enough to be given an upgrade but both our original room and upgraded room were gorgeous, clean and comfortable with lovely bathrooms. In the room there were teas, coffee, homemade vegan flapjack (divine), and on the landing a communal fridge with different milks available and a great selection of CD, books and DVDs to borrow. The breakfast was outstanding. We would wholeheartedly recommend and cannot wait to return.

Hillsdale B&B was an incredible stay. The location, the home itself, the rooms, and the breakfast were all amazing and exceeded all of our expectations. Steve and Caz were so welcoming, personally showing us into their property, guiding us to the parking, offering excellent recommendations, and preparing the perfect English breakfast in their beautiful breakfast room. As soon as the five of us settled into our rooms, we all said we wished we were staying longer! Steve and Caz thought of everything - all the amenities and necessities required and more! I couldn't give a more glowing recommendation to this bed and breakfast. If you are considering a visit to the Lake District and Ambleside - DO NOT miss this amazing stay!

Totally recommended and we will come back to the same place. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast - as I am not fan of English breakfast - I am glad it was more like 'continental' type. Breakfast room - not huge space but come on! It's cozy there. Car park - it is to pe paid separately but at least is monitored and just outside the room. Room for 3 - very spacious, don't remember room number but view is unforgettable!

Great location, free parking in the car park next to the guesthouse. Our room was very clean, comfortable and perfect for a short break away. Rob kindly organised some beers for our room for my partners birthday, he was very friendly and welcoming, we didn’t need to contact him during our stay but nothing would have been too much trouble had we have needed too. No breakfast included but this didn’t bother us as there’s so many places around.

Room had personal touches such as make up remover cloths and face cloths. Toiletries included hand wash and lotion, shampoo and conditioner., bath lotion. Lots of tea, coffee and biscuits and water each day. 2 small bottles of wine too. Nothing too much trouble, if you wanted something just ask. Lovely breakfast. Free parking in pay and display car park.

Central, clean & comfortable in traditional Lake District slate property. Stunning views - we had room 1 with windows on 3 sides. Plenty of hot water & good quality bedding on beds. Slept well - quiet room. Friendly staff. U book a breakfast time & menu option, so no waiting around for a table. Handy to have free parking as Ambleside car parks are expensive & busy.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Fantastic location. Free parking they were ok with us leaving the car parked in the carpark prior to booking and after booking. They cater for various dietary requirements for breakfast. The breakfast was delicious and again the breakfast staff were really friendly and very accommodating.
