We loved the whole experience. The cabin is beautifully made, with natural wood and stone, and the stained glass windows are a favourite. You can see how much love went into it with all the little details and fine touches added on. The indoor fireplace and very comfy bed make for an extremely cosy night. Our stay at The Doune was absolutely fantastic. The property has so much character, and every corner feels thoughtfully designed and welcoming. It’s warm, cozy, and has a homely feel that made it so easy to relax. The kitchen was great—really well-equipped, and the Aga was such a nice touch. Outside, the peaceful water feature, fish pond, and immaculate football pitch were all highlights. Having direct access to the bush was incredible for a bit of exploring. There are loads of en-suites, which made the stay even more comfortable, and the stone masonry is stunning. Little details, like the swing and the heirlooms scattered around, gave the whole place so much charm. It’s well-guarded and peaceful, so we felt safe the entire time. Even getting there was smooth with the convenient highway access. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend The Doune to anyone looking for a unique, peaceful getaway!

The location is good with some good views, also very quiet. The space is homely and very well organised for a comfortable stay. I enjoyed the deck outside too. The initial instructions from the owners were quite detailed and easy to follow for location and access into the property.
