No dirty carpets, chipped furniture and grubby fittings. Good price, plenty of free parking (although you have to register since the car park is managed by a separate company) and easy to find. Room was large and well equipped. Price wise I guess it competes with Travelodge type accommodation but in my view was much better value. It was a very good location, walking distance to many places, the free parking is always a bonus, you could see the cathedral from the car park. It was my birthday while we were there, we came back to the room to find balloons, a birthday card, some rose petals and the towels in the shape of a swan on the bed which I thought was a lovely gesture.
