I knew that I wanted to visit Lillafured but, beyond that, I didn't know much. Hotel Szeleta turned out to be an excellent find. For me, the Palota Lillafured was completely out of my budget-range... but Hotel Szeleta was not :) . Hotel Szeleta and Lillafured are easily reached from Miskolc... I took the tramway from the train station all of the way to the end, and then transferred to Bus 5 or Bus 15, both of which head up to Lillafured. Hotel Szeleta is in a pretty town in the valley called Also-Hamor, so downstream from Lillafured. I think it was about 1- 1.5 km to walk to Lillafured by way of Felso-Hamor, another pretty town with the stream running through it. I was able to have a reasonable lunch at the restaurant in Palota and could walk their beautiful grounds... so it all worked out. In Also Hamor, there appeared to be some restaurants geared toward tourists... but as it was off-season they were not open yet.

Everything was excellent! The location of the hotel is very good in relation to the cave bath. The hotel facilities are very nice, modern and everywhere was clean. We had a nice big room with a beautiful view to the mountains. There was good internet connection. The spa facilities were excellent we really enjoyed everything, I personally liked the salt-room. We stayed there half board. The food was excellent, with a great choice of various hot and cold dishes, lots of fruits, cakes, ice-cream and various hot and cold drinks to follow. There was live music during the evening meal. From the moment we entered the hotel all the staff were very nice and helpful. We had a great time there and cannot wait to return. Thank you.

Everything was so perfect! The team was amazing and consisted of such nice and professional people. We had dinner twice during our stay and it was the best we've had in a long time. The breakfast was also really great. We arrived too early, but within twenty minutes our room was ready, which we really appreciated! I also want to mention I was pleasantly surprised that they made the bed and cleaned the room right after the first night. Don't hesitate to choose this hotel. The view from the hotel was stunning and the location was excellent for the christmas market and overlooking the lake. The parking was close to the hotel. The views from the hotel was exceptional!

The location of the hotel is excellent, in front of the lake. It is close to all hiking trails, no need to use a car at all. There is convenient parking, the room is quiet even though it was above their restaurant. The level of cleanliness is excellent. The price is definitely right for what I got.Hotel guests receive a 15% discount in their restaurant. The restaurant is excellent, delicious food and good service.
