If you want a real Tuscan experience, book this accommodation. Everything but everything was perfect and even exceeded our expectations. The location is in the center of Val d'orcia, a few minutes drive from Pienza, 20 min drive to Montepuliciano, 1 hour drive to Siena and only a few minutes drive to the movie hills and pines. Breakfast is not an ordinary breakfast, but an experience we will not forget, with homemade food and cakes made by Anna, which were perfect. We strongly recommend you to book dinner because it was also an experience, like breakfast, with authentic food from Tuscany and local ingredients. The room is large, comfortable and the decoration of the entire accommodation is like from a magazine. We have only words of praise for the owner Anna, for her hospitality, kindness and for the excellent food she cooks. We felt like we were at home. If you want to stay in Val d'orcia this is the right place, you won't regret it. If we ever come back we will come to Anna’s again.

I already miss the tranquil days at Il Casalino. Right in the middle of Val d'Orcia yet very close to Pienza still, Il Casalino was a good base camp for us to look around many photogenic spots of Val d'Orcia. We should have planned to stay a couple more days here or maybe there was no availability at the time of booking. The host Marco was very communicative, kind and respectful. The room, very cute, quiet and comfortable, was well equipped with the things we needed. The location was excellent and the view was fantastic. The Gladiator's point was in the view from the backyard. It was a perfect stay in our road trip in Toscana.

La Saracina is a dream. It is one of the best stays we ever had in our life. It is run by two sisters who are so friendly and helped us with amazing restaurant tips and tips for places to visit (thank you!). Also the rest of the staff is super friendly. Breakfast is superb. The room is just beautiful. The swimming pool area is very relaxing, quiet and not busy since the number of guests is very limited. The location is perfect close to some beautiful cosy towns like Pienza. Would recommend!

We could not think about any single improvement point, every single detail in Il Macchione is taken care of. The location is unique, peaceful and without any other house nearby, you can really relax, rest and enjoy the nice views 360. We received the apartment as soon as we arrived, super clean, warm and friendly reception by the family hosts and the apartment had everything we needed, including a complete kitchen set, including a good selection of local wines to avoid buying them outside. The bathroom has high-quality local products for free (soaps, creams...) which can be later purchased at reception. There is a wide selection of local products to choose for breakfast. We also took a cooking class (pasta) onsite with a professional chef for all the family, which both the kid and us loved. Highly recommendable location to stay if you are visiting Val d'Orcia, and just few minutes away from Gladiator film real locations! We just missed using the beautiful pool with views of the valley because we had rainy days, we will have to come back!

Wonderful Hotel! We have spent 2 fantastic days in this gorgeous hotel near the city centre of lovely Pienza. The staff is always smiling and helpful, the room was comfortable and perfectly clean and breakfast was excellent. The restaurant of the hotel was also very good and the underground parking lot came in handy. I hope I'll be able to come back soon!

So handy to the town you are staying right in the middle of the old town. Car parking is a breeze and safe 250 m away with Simone at the Services station he has excellent English and pointed us all the right direction, even for a hair dresser.
