Casa Mafalda is without doubt the best self-catering apartment I have ever stayed in. Rita was an exceptional host. During our 12-night stay she made sure we were always stocked for breakfast with eggs, bread, pastries, yoghurts, tea, coffee, jam, Nutella and milk. She even offered to change our linen halfway through the stay and offered to take out our rubbish and recycling. She also suggested a local wine tasting and personally drove us to and from a vineyard and cantina in Montefalco so that we could enjoy the experience. She is so proud of the beautiful area she lives in and genuinely wants her guests to experience its magic. We certainly felt it. During our two weeks we enjoyed day trips to Perugia, Assisi, Foligno, Trevi and the Marmore waterfalls, as well as local highlights such as the Spoleto Rocca, a hike on the Giro dei Condotti and a walk along the disused Spoleto–Umbria railway line. Casa Mafalda is beautifully decorated, spotless, well equipped and perfectly located. It is only a five-minute walk from the station in one direction and a ten-minute walk from the old part of Spoleto in the other. It is a fantastic base for exploring Umbria and beyond. If we had stayed even longer we would have made more use of the Ancona train line to explore parts of the Marche and the Roma Termini line to see more of Lazio. Spoleto is wonderfully well connected and full of interest both in its own right and throughout the surrounding region.

Everything was super. The property was special, very well decorated and beautiful. The owners father looked after us throughout our stay via google translate. It is 5 minutes from the escalator that can take you to the top of Spoleto.

Absolutely the cleanest accommodation I've ever stayed in. The apartment smells wonderful. The towels and bedding too! The kitchen has everything you need. There isn't a speck of dust here, truly perfectly clean. Plus, it's very close to the train station.

Perfect location to the city center as well as to very local stores outside the wall. The room is spacious, clean and well-maintained. The parking, which is next to the room, is available for free. Strongly recommend this apartment even for a family with small children. For international travelers: Spoleto is a hidden gem in Umbria. Since Spoleto is not a city relies sorely on tourism, you can find historical aspects of Italy and at the same time the normal life of Italian people.

There is nothing to not like. It's a great apartment. The owner provides all the little details (band aids, hair dryer, etc, etc) that you may not want to bring or forgot. The apartment is new or nearly new. Beautifully furnished and decorated. A hip vibe to it. One flight up. A few min walk to the core of old town. I'll probably go back to it when I attend the arts festival in summer.

The apartment is modern, stylish, equipped with everything you need (except a cheese grater!), and has private, secure parking. It’s in a great location, being only 15 minutes walk from the centre of the old town. Niccolo is an excellent host. He welcomed us to the property, always responded really quickly to messages, and made great local recommendations.

The location is excellent. Approx. 10 min. walk (uphill!) to the centre of Spoleto, so all the museums, restaurants, bars, etc. are within easy reach. Useful to have free parking about 150m away. Eugenio and Rossella were charming and helpful hosts. The apartment, which is on the second floor, is well equipped and comfortable. It was the perfect base from which to explore Spoleto and Umbria.

nice apartment, close to the city centre, free parking at 200 mt, supermarket at walking distance. The apartment is confortable, with some products for breakfast, coffee, tea, milk on the fridge, and a very good bottle of bubbly wine to celebrate the new year. Pet friendly. highly recommended
