The room size was fine, but it didn’t have a pleasant smell. There was no kettle, no proper TV channels, and no telephone. Although the staff were very friendly, no one offered me Wi-Fi. The washroom wasn’t clean, and there were no towels. If these facilities were provided, the stay would have been much better.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Golden Crown Hotel in Ampitiya and was blown away by the exceptional service provided by the General Manager and his team. From the moment I arrived, they went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was nothing short of perfect. Their attention to detail and genuine care for their guests - truly commendable. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautiful views and immaculate facilities, but it was the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the General Manager that truly made my stay memorable. His professionalism and dedication to providing top-notch service is a true asset to the hotel. Very spacious and comfy room at such a reasonable price! You can arrange Tuk Tuk transfer to reach this place. Ashan is really a friendly and helpful host. I booked a customized day trip here too and truly enjoyed my time exploring Kandy with Ashan. Do check out this wonderful accommodation when you think of visiting Kandy!

Our room was spacious with good air con and a nice hot shower. There was soap/ shower gel and shampoo provided and two drying racks to hang clothes which was very useful. We also really liked having access to a kitchen to prepare breakfast, as well as lots of areas to relax in the living space- it felt like we were at home! The garden space and seating areas are lovely. Udaya the manager was incredibly helpful during our stay and gave us lots of advice on where to go/ what to do. The property is about a 20 minute uphill walk from the town centre. This didn’t bother us as we like walking & tricycles are very easy to get, but something to consider.

Kandy Myst by Cinnamon is an absolute gem in the heart of Kandy! The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming — going above and beyond to make the stay comfortable. The rooms were cozy, modern, and spotless, with extremely comfortable beds that made for a perfect night’s sleep. The hotel’s location couldn’t be better — just a short walk from the Temple of the Tooth and Kandy town. The breakfast buffet was scrumptious, offering a wonderful mix of authentic Sri Lankan dishes and international options, beautifully presented and full of flavor. The parking area was another highlight — spacious and directly connected to the lift and rooms, which made it super convenient.

We stayed one night only but during the check in we regretted we didn't book the place for more night. The view is just exceptional. Even a toilet has an amazing view. It was one of our 'woooow' accommodations in Sri Lanka. The driveway to this villa is pretty steep and I was scared a little when driving up with tuk tuk, but it was just fine in the end. Host is really helpful, kind and funny guy. Thank you for this nice experience ❤️

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted not just as guests, but truly as friends. The warmth and hospitality of Sudesh’s family made this one of the most memorable stays of our trip. The food was absolutely delicious – all home-cooked meals prepared with love by the owner’s family, and every bite felt like a taste of authentic Sri Lankan home life. The guesthouse is located a little outside the busy town of Kandy, which turned out to be a big plus – peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature, making it a perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the entire atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We left with full hearts (and stomachs!), and we would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a genuine and heartwarming stay in Kandy!
