The villa is well laid out with all required facilities. It's clean and tidy. The owner was there to receive us and to handover the property. He is very plesent, friendly and corporative. We had full prevacy, comfort and all the freedom. The most liked pat was that the owner allowed our pet dog Labrador to stay with us. Our Labrador was the most enjoyed and thrilled out of all of us, as the dog enjoyed the garden freely by playing and jumping in to the pond in front of the property. The facilities are luxurious and entire property is equipped to satisfy our full expectations.

Best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka in terms of overall experience (great hosts & fairytale location). Food provided was very delicious, with great variety. The Sinharaja forest tour was also a very good experience, our guide (the owner of the Nest) being very knowleadgeble of what is going on in the forest (he spotted a lot of birds/animals and told us a lot about their behavior). All in all we just recommend this place by our hearts. A big thank you for the hosts!

Everything was nice. The location is incredible itself, pure nature. The view from our room was amazing and sounds around too. From restaurant you need to test sri lankian style food for sure, it is homemade and delicious)) We use hotel’s services for guiding to the forest and it was great.

It's a wonderful, peaceful place surrounded by nature and its sounds! Comfi room, lovely staff and all round just a perfect little oasis. The food is also amazing although I found the local breakfast to be a bit expensive compared to other places and even to other items on the menu.

Sinharaja Forest Lodge is the perfect getaway for nature lovers! The lodge is nestled right next to the Sinharaja rainforest, offering a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. I'm a wildlife Photographer and I've been seeing Hemal as guide for several years now. He recently renovated the place as a guest house and it is fantastic. The place: The room was clean, AC and facilities are brand new and the view is exceptional! It is located a beautiful 10 minute walk from the park entrance, surrounded by green. And is directly next to the path that you would take for a night tour, which is a must in Sinharaja (And nobody is allowed to enter the Park at night). Hemal's wife is cooking and I doubt any of the luxury hotels near by will match the love and effort she put in every single meal. As it is common for Sri Lankan hospitality, they will always ask you if anything is missing or you have any special wishes and will drive to the nearest shop to buy it, without asking. The guide (Which is much more important in Sinharaja!): Hemal is known within the entire community as one who spots the most animals and knows so much about them. While all guides need to absolve basic training to become a guide, you can tell that he is truly passionate about the nature and he will tell you the English, Latin and partly the German names for most of the animals that we saw. You can also tell that he deeply respects the animals and the eco system and puts safety of you and the animals above anything. He grew up right in that village and he's is in the forest every day even on his days off so he always knows all the best spots!
