Lovely property with a lovely host, Edgar. This was one of my favorite accommodations of my two week trip to Portugal. I appreciated the location being a short drive outside the city center but close enough to enjoy all that Coimbra has to offer. Edgar was so kind, extremely helpful and really made my stay special. The renovation of the family home is very stylish while remaining respectful of the home’s history. The attention to detail in my room and throughout the home is one of the best I’ve seen. Don’t forget to look up and admire the detail of the ceilings! The breakfast was always fresh, delicious and plentiful. I especially loved the fresh farm eggs made to order as well as the orange juice squeezed from their groves out back and the fresh baked cakes. I highly recommend Oryza for your Coimbra stay and cannot wait to visit again.

The host during our stay was lovely. The location is perfect, just across the bridge on walking distance of the city center. Free parking place on walking distance as well (no parking at the location itself). The building is nicely renovated. Our room had a comfortable bed, enough space to move around or put your luggage. The bathroom worked as it should. In the common area you can make coffee or tea.

The host João left us a coldplay coimbra t shirt each in the apartment as a welcome gift, was unexpected and a lovely gift. Clean, well equipped and beautiful apartment. We stayed at The Wonderful Granja da Cabrita. We arrived as a family of 5 - a couple of parents and three children in their 20s. The The place is beautifully decorated, modern and accessible, spacious and embracing. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are large and very clean. There are many pampering areas to sit outside, a large pool and nature envelops everything around. Check-in was cordial and very comfortable and simple. The staff who looked after us were lovely. Anna, who greeted us with a wide smile, (arrived on the day of the big power outage and the place didn't let us feel it), and Philomena who took care of us for the delicious breakfasts. The place is outside the city,(we arrived by rented car, but of course s you can get to Coimbra in Bolt) and e allows Quiet and tranquility from which we went on a fascinating visit to the university and a fine Fado show. We recommend this wonderful place from the bottom of our hearts
