We booked this hotel based on the reviews and we weren't disappointed. The staff were very friendly and service minded, and the room was great with a balcony overlooking the Ria Formosa nature park. Apart from the fantastic breakfast it's also worth mentioning the bar menu which had a wide range of non standard hotel dishes e.g. Paella, tapas. There were also a number of good restaurants within walking distance.

This hotel was modern, clean, and well-maintained. The rooms were spacious, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches like a Marshall speaker in the room, a smart TV, and pegs for hanging clothes on the balcony rack. The staff were friendly, extremely helpful, and spoke excellent English. We were very impressed with our stay and would definitely return.

Very modern, clean, well equipped kitchen, good location ( not far away from center but on quiet street); nice to receive the small bags with pastel de nata and coffee each morning, highly appreciated. We had a truly lovely stay at Solar Mendonça. The location is excellent – right in the center of Faro, just a short walk from the ferry terminal, the bus station, and many great local restaurants and cafés. Despite being so central, the place is peaceful and feels like a calm retreat. The rooms were spotless and tastefully decorated, with very comfortable mattresses. We appreciated the extra pillows and blankets provided in the room. The bathroom was well-equipped, especially for female travelers – shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion were all available and of good quality. Communication with the hotel management was outstanding. Everything was prepared in advance – we received all the access codes for the building and the room ahead of time, and we each had two key cards, which was very convenient. There’s also a rooftop terrace where you can sunbathe or relax. Although we didn’t use it much because we were mostly at the beach, we noticed the hotel thoughtfully provides special towels for the sun loungers. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return. It’s a cozy, clean, and well-run place that feels like home in the heart of Faro.

The location was perfect. A brand new studio apartment, confortable, quiet, good wifi and great for a good night’s sleep. It’s close to the airport and Faro Beach, and only a 2-minute walk to a supermarket, restaurants serving local food, and a bus stop. By Uber was 3 minute to the airport. There’s also a Centauro car rental nearby.

A cozy, peaceful, quiet place. A beautiful view opens up from the hill. The place is designed for relaxation and being in no hurry. The houses are stylishly furnished, with attention to detail. Everything you need is there. The only important thing is that you need a car to get there. It is located away from the noise of the street, on a hill. It is easily accessible and close to all shopping facilities. Very cozy. Did we miss the beach? Not at all. A special and private place by the pool. It's fantastic. We definitely recommend it.

I stayed at Mercedes Hotel for 4 nights and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is very clean and beautifully designed, with room being spacious and comfortable. Each room has its own little private yard, which I thought was such a nice touch. The pool is clean and perfect for relaxing, and the overall atmosphere is just really pleasant and peaceful. The family members who runs the hotel are incredibly nice and helpful – they really make you feel welcome. I also really liked the small restaurant they have on-site. It’s great if you don’t feel like driving into the city center, and both the food and the atmosphere there are really nice.
