The hotel is 2 hours walking from Materuni Waterfall in the middle of the jungle, but what surprise most are the people and hospitality of the staff. Everything was perfect you feels like at home, location very quiet with amazing view, you can feel the jungle atmosphere. Breakfast, lunch and dinner homemade with locale products with an amazing taste. We had also the opportunity to have the excursion to the Waterfall with them, guide very prepared, explanation in perfect english. We really appreciated Chagga culture and people of the village, also the coffee experience. If you want to live a real experience and living in contact with Chagga people that's the right place. PS: the hotel organizes also safari around Tanzania

This was one of the best places Ive stayed in Africa, and the best in Tanzania. It is very chill, with a quite garden where I did yoga, with lovely Welima who cooks great and can help you with anything. I literally didn't eat out much cos the food here was delicious and affordable. The place is few kilometres away from the center thus it is very quite here, no bustling and all. And if you need to go there a private bajaji will cost like 2000-3000 tz and if you catch a public one it's 700 which is like less than a dollar. We came here with fellow volounteer I met in Arusha and had a great time and ended up extending for like a week, I didn't want to leave! Thank you for your hospitality and hopefully see you one day again when I come back to climb Kilimanjaro!

Our stay at Karanga River Lodge was really great! Spacious room with a nice bathroom and shower. The pool was really nice and every day the staff put out chairs for us by the pool so that we could sunbathe ☺️ Breakfast was soo good - especially the fruits and fresh juice 😌 We had dinner there every night and the food was always delicious. We stayed at Honey Badger before and after our trek to Kilimanjaro. The place is quite, it's nice to relax around the pool. The food was really good (buffet in the evening, Bugergs at lunch); the staff was super friendly. Bedrooms are spacious and comfy
