What can we say about our amazing stay at Platbakkies only that we wished we had stayed longer. We stopped at Platbakkies on our way up to the Orange River and it was a great adventure. The farm house we stayed in was amazing and very comfortable. We made our own braai in the evening which was great even using some of the local lamb chops that were available to purchase. We travelled from Durban across South Africa knocking up 4200kms and multiple stops and we all agreed our one night we had at Platbakkies was the best, Thank you Lizelle and Dawie, we hope to see you again sometime and maybe explore your farm further.

This hotel is a gem and a lucky find for travellers. It's not a large corporate chain however as all the features you want, attentive staff, a great bar with a friendly Barrman and a kitchen that is very happy to acomadate diverse food allergies. This itself is unique as the hotel is really in the middle of nowhere and very little supplies are nearby.

Situated in Kamieskroon in the Northern Cape region, Megs Accommodation features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The property features mountain views.

Very beautiful and cosy place with a nice terrace where you can watch the sunset on the mountain with a glass of wine. Very good breakfast. But most of all, Harry and Celeste make you feel immediately at home like family. You can cook if you want and share beautiful time with them and the other guests Warm and friendly atmosphere l!

Red and Yellow and Pink and Blue; Orange and Purple and Green. We seen all the colours in the amazing flowers of Namaqualand Nature Reserve in the first week of September 2025 .. white too! Staggering display of varied blooms and plants on walks and drives. And Cozy Cottage has been the perfect base for our two night stay, with super helpful hosts (Michell and Philip). Recommended to others coming to this area to see one of nature's magnificent displays.
