The staff and the owner are absolutely lovely and extremely helpful. I had a minor issue in my room and they fixed it right away. The rooms are simple but elegant. The bed is comfortable, the AC is really helping with the heat of Bujumbura, the shower is working well with hot water and good water pressure. You have a mosquito net in the room, but also on the door (so you're double protected and you can leave the door open at night if you don't like the AC). The breakfast is simple, but tasty and everything is very fresh. The rooms are spotless. You are within walking distance from many good restaurants, but you can also easily find a taxi in the street nearby. I have even recommended this place to colleagues coming to Bujumbura and they also loved it.

The location, not far from the airport and right on the lake with stunning sunrises. The staff were incredibly friendly and helped us organise a day trip to see the Gishora drummers.

Terry (Spelling?) did amazing job pursuing excellent service. He had Clovis walk and get a Taxi for us, you never find that kind of service here. The place was kept clean (Yeah Desire). I appreciated the LOCATION. It is close enough to downtown but far enough away to avoid the FUMES and NOISE of downtown. And having the farmers market so close and ability to pick up a taxi so close was really good. Having the closed gate and security made me feel safe. Enjoyed the pool.
