It's located in a green and leafy tourist precinct, next to Botanical Gardens, about a 20 minute drive from downtown. I especially liked having so many trees and beauty around, quiet (hotel is at end of small pedestrian alley), and the manager is kind and helpful advice on many different topics (she can speak OK English, rare in Hangzhou). Because the hotel is small, sometimes other guests stop and chat with you, which I liked. There's also really a lot of restaurants and cafes around, including a couple of cool and delicious ones. I stayed in one of the top level attic rooms, it's quite small and low roof, but quiet. The weekends in November got very busy in this area with tourists and traffic jams - but it's still nice to walk and bicycle around. The manager helped me to rent a bicycle through my phone, thank you! Cosy and great value!

The staff were very helpful in meeting my numerous requests, and one particular manager even provided me with a free beer after I discovered the buffet was closed.
