This place was the equivalent of heaven on earth. I would consider just buying a ticket to Costa Rica to spend a week here and enjoy total peace and relaxation. Our room was big, with a huge balcony that had two chairs and a hammock. The view is amazing. The place feels so safe that you can sleep with the big windows fully open and be woken up by the horses eating grass outside your window. The WiFi worked great. The shower was huge and with water flowing very well. The location is a big farm so you can even go walk and see dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, chickens, anything. They have a swimming pool and a hot tub that you can use anytime you want. They also offer paid laundry service and they have a restaurant. Breakfast was also included and it was great. The hosts and waiters are all really kind and accommodating. Each room has a private parking spot right outside the room. I mean, I could go on for days about how great this place is. My girlfriend and I almost cried when we had to leave. This place is just so great. Do yourself a favor: if you have a car, avoid staying in La Fortuna and stay here. You'll love it.

From the quality and diversity of the menu to the beautiful presentation of the plates, it was a culinary delight at every meal. Our room was beyond amazing, boasting a stunning view of the jungle that made us feel like we were in a dream. Not only were the rooms impeccably clean, but we were pleasantly surprised to find warm water—a luxury in the midst of the rainforest. The entire experience felt surreal and truly special, something we know we'll never forget. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, taking the time to explain everything clearly and ensuring that our every need was met. Their genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. One of the highlights of our stay was the frog tour, which we had the pleasure of experiencing twice—once in rain and once in dry weather. Each time was a unique and magical encounter with Costa Rica's incredible biodiversity. The journey to La Tigra was an adventure in itself, with the scenic drive requiring a 4x4 vehicle and a leisurely pace. But the anticipation of what awaited us at the lodge made it all the more exciting. In conclusion, La Tigra Rainforest Lodge surpassed all our expectations and left us with memories that will last a lifetime. It truly was the most memorable stay of our trip, and we can't wait to return someday.

Very very friendly and helpful staff, helped me with arranging the tours and updates; really nice environment with birds (and hummingbird) on site, and the staff kindly pointed out the sloth on the tree near the entrance and a beautiful lizard on the fence. location 5 minutes walk to downtown and very close to gorgeous restaurants. Have a beautiful view of the volcano with pool facilities great for cooling down after a long day. Comfy beds and well-functioning air cons, very clean environment and weirdly really little mosquitos.

The patio with the view on the arenal volcano is really nice to chill. The gardens on the property are very beautiful and you can see different animals too. The swimming pool was a nice bonus.

We came for the birding and it certainly did not disappoint! Loved the refreshing pool, trails, flora & fauna, and the stunning views of the volcano and lake. Our room had a spectacular view of Lake Arenal which was framed by a large magnificent tree. No tiring of the changing views everywhere.

The air-conditioned rooms and villas at Los Lagos Spa & Resort Thermal Experience are spacious and comfortable and feature scenic views. All have cable TV, a minibar and safe. Villas have a kitchenette and lounge. The standard and superior rooms are set in different areas of the property. Iliked almost everything: location, facilities, room, pools etc. The only thing I would recommend is to give more options in breakfast. lack of vegetables and other healthy options was the only thing I didn’t like in this hotel
