L'Esplanade Lille is a 20-minute walk to Lille Flandres Station and a 24-minute walk to Lille Europe Station. The famous 17-th century Citadel of Lille is only a 12-minute walk away. Public parking is available nearby. Beautiful period building with very spacious rooms, high ceilings and large windows. We stayed three nights and our room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast room has a lovely view over the Citadel Park. We liked the location on the edge of the old town - as it was easy to walk into town but was lovely and quiet. The staff were kind and pleasant.

Lovely amenities and a dream to be able to swim in a super clean, quiet, swimming pool. If you're looking for a good base to explore Dunkirk away from the busy centre La Capeline is perfect. Secure designated parking and Lidl store opposite to make life even easier. Would recommend Domitys to anyone looking for self contained accommodation in a nice safe, quiet environment. It was truly wonderful talking to MArion and Gilles and listening to their story of restroing the house and the grounds. I wish them the very best for the future and keep going! Christian very friendly and interested in ensuring you have a nice stay. We thought it slightly expensive but there was no where cheaper options so I think it is suitable price for that area.
