Here at Talaga Tomohon you get THE BEST views on to Mt Lokon Volcano from the upper shared balcony - a great place to end the day with a cold beer or some snack, socialize a bit and exchange travel advise with other travellers. We loved our stay here, extended from originally planned 4 to 6 nights as just everything fits. Shared bathrooms 2 for 5 rooms were cleaned daily, you get fresh coffee 24/7 , can even use a common kitchen for minor preparations, fridge, cheap and good scooter rent, amazing breakfasts (try Manado porridge!) Rico is such a lovely host, very welcoming and a great source of information. If there is anything inyour mind, don't hesitate to ask. He tries to make everything possible. Situated in Bitung, Tangkoko Sanctuary Villa has a garden, terrace, bar, and free WiFi. Free private parking is available and the inn also features car hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. This place is top-notch. Everything from room, bed, bathroom quality and professionalism is just outstanding. One of my best stays during our 3 weeks in Sulawesi. Ana and the team is excellent and we cannot recommend them enough. The view is certainly best in Tangkoko. Price is very good for the quality, consider all meals and drinks (excluding beer) are included. Their guides are also super hard working, who goes beyond to help us spot wildlife. Also I recommend the mangrove boat trip with Ober and his family. Interestingly, we realized that their wildlife tours are significantly better priced (40% cheaper) than the budget accommodations in the area that charged $15/night. Turned out this place has the best value after all.

Set on the beachfront, this property features a bar. Mount Lokon is 27 km away and Christ Blessing is 8.6 km from the homestay. The family of the homestay are lovely and treat you like part of the family straight away. The food was excellent and plentiful. Not only did they cater to vegetarian and vegan diets easily, the food was delicious and a highlight of our stay. For the room, it was small but adequate with a queen size bed with a comfortable mattress. The bathroom was nice with a good pressure cool shower and flushing toilet. Aircon worked great.and was a nice treat. Ken's homestay was the place to be in the evening with live music being played by various talents from across the village. It's a fun and friendly vibe. Some nights are more lively than others which was a nice mix for us. If you are a light sleeper or go to bed early bring earplugs and it is fine. The mornings are nice and quiet and you can wake up to the sound of the waves. You can't even hear the church or the mosque! We went on two snorkelling tours and both were great ways to see other amazing snorkelling spots and we even visited the village on Manado Tua. Good value too. We extended our stay by two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Terima kasih banyak!

The facilities are high quality and the food was delicious. There is a great dive site just off of the beach and this is the best place to stay while diving with neighbor Rumah Selam Dive Center. Manager Alex is very helpful and friendly. We wish we could have stayed longer, and would absolutely stay here again.

The accommodation was very comfortable, with great amenities and a great view of nature. Yuli and Mehdi are incredible hosts who make you feel right at home. I had some amazing dives, and the professional instructors made the experience even better. I also enjoyed making friends and having fun conversations with other guests at the bar. To top it off, the food at the restaurant was amazing. Both the local and international options were very delicious. Can't wait to come back!

The perfect Homestay in so many ways!! Tomohon has many things to do and the host is SO sweet and kind. She has a list with so many ideas of what to do (hot springs, volcano, etc) and was helpful in every way. The balcony has a beautiful view and great birdwatching. The place is very very clean and although the bathroom is shared it was never a problem, we even had hot water for a shower. We both got amazing massages right at the Homestay, with tea and treats after. There is a great cafe (sleiv) and stunning lunch spot (gardenia) within walking distance. There are ducks, kittens and a disabled dog. The host respects your privacy but is also up for chatting any time - highly recommend !

All guest rooms at the accommodation feature air conditioning and a desk. We had a fantastic stay at Birding Lodge Tangkoko, right on the edge of Tangkoko National Park. The lodge is owned and run by a local family, and they made us feel completely at home. The staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful. The Indonesian food was delicious, fresh, and a real highlight after long days out in the forest. The wildlife guides were outstanding. They know the forest inside and out. We did full-day bird tours and were able to see so many of Tangkoko’s incredible endemic birds and mammals. The guides helped us capture great views of hornbills, dwarf kingfishers, tarsiers, bear cuscus and macaques, and many other species. The accommodation was clean, the beds very comfortable, and the air-conditioning was a welcome relief after a hot day of birding and exploring. If your goal is to experience the wildlife of Tangkoko—whether general wildlife tours or full-day birding trips—we highly recommend Birding Lodge Tangkoko and Ardy’s team of guides.

Perfect little getaway house. Lovely pond outside. I realized that the location didn't really suit me, but Debora and Jeremy went all the way to help me out! There's not really any restaurants in the countryside neighborhood and Debora offered to cook more of their own dinner, which was lovely! 😍🙏 Over all I had a lovely stay!
